The tiki pink is not pink at all, but rather an orange sherbet color. I love bright colors, but someone who might have been looking for a subdued pink may not be so happy.     • Cool, comfortable and easy care

My husband and I travel a lot and are trying to reduce both the weight of our baggage and the number of items we bring along. Part of this strategy includes buying items that can be readily hand washed and air dried quickly. The Columbia Tamiami shirts accomplish this very well. This is my third Tamiami shirt; the first 2 were the long-sleeved version. All are the same lightweight polyester fabric with a barely-visible tiny windowpane pattern. The short-sleeved version has slits at the end of the sleeves, while both have slits at the side seams. The bottom of the shirt is rounded front and back, with good coverage at the back even when bending over. The back vent is nice and not overly bulky. Likewise, the 2 zippered on-seam pockets, which open top to bottom, are not very conspicuous as the pulls match the shirt fabric. I ordered a medium size, which worked fine for me as I normally wear a size 8 in quality shirts. I find the Tamiami shirts to be cool and comfortable while offering good sun protection. I washed the first of my long-sleeved shirts and allowed it to air dry...which only took a couple of hours. No ironing was needed. The only concerns I have with the shirt are the prominence of the company logo on the velcro'ed left chest strip (which is intended to hold the top of a fishing pole but is used by some as a glasses holder) and the velcro collar stays. I think the shirt could do without both for those who use this for travel and trail. Bonus: the shirt (and another order) were delivered by an Amazon-labeled truck, the first I've seen...and the outside packaging was cleaner than I'm used to with other carriers. ... show more

I can't really overstate how great this shirt is. Stylish, comfortable, professional enough for work (at least, in black), well suited for rain or shine. The SPF has already prevented a couple sunburns for me, and the anti-microbial material plus airflow/wicking works well for hot sweaty days...I stay cool and dry. Don't need an undershirt or anything...combined with the ease of hand washing and the very light weight, it's also well suited for traveling. (Seems to resist wrinkles pretty well too, although I haven't tried balling it up.) On top of that, it's proven to be durable, so I expect it to last and last. Definitely not a cheap wear-it-once kind of athleisure-fashion garment; it's a solid investment. Versatility is also a big plus. The shirt is thin enough and light enough that it's very easy to layer with another top (or two) plus a jacket. It works well when I'm traveling between climates, or I'm out a long time and the weather changes significantly, like a sudden rainstorm. It's definitely nice having snaps instead of buttons...quick to put on or take off, and they're secure enough. The two pockets are slightly difficult to open one-handed, but have ample room (for a shirt - can fit a cell phone easily). The zipper pulls have a slim profile so they rarely snag on anything, either. Finally, the fit is pretty exact, based on Columbia's given sizing. Make sure to check that before ordering. Usually I would have ordered a size medium as a hedge bet, but in this case that would have been too large - it's not a form-fitting top. Likewise, don't order too small - the material has very little stretch to it. ... show more

Nice and cool fabric, but the sleeve length is too long for my tastes, giving it more of a uniform look. I do like the little slits at the upper sleeve edges. Fit is fine, maybe even slightly roomy. Many other reviewers said the white was see through however I had no problems with it. You wouldn't want to wear a bra of any color other than nude or white, however. Of the short sleeved Columbia shirts I've purchased, this is my least favorite. I'll probably stick with the Lo-Drag style as my fave because it's a bit more fitted and the sleeves are shorter. ... show more
