Really a 4.5. Fit well. Comfortable. Bought these for trip to Iceland and it held up to the rain, waterfalls, ice cave hikes. Kept me dry. Only improvement would be having a side zipper for ease of putting on over boots.

I am 5 ft 2 in and 135 lbs and the medium short is a bit long and baggy. It will stay on the waist but a bit loose. I will get a small short to see if that is a better fit. Otherwise nice and lightweight.

Kept me dry on a trip to glacier national park in the rainy cold season. I wore a wool base layer and I had no issues with sweat condensation. But I also only wore it a max of 2-3 hrs at a time.
