I had to buy this skort in a size 14 before it would JUST fit. I am an online shopaholic and I KNOW what size to select. I purchased at least 15 other skorts online with no problems within weeks of buying this particular skort. I will usually select a size 8-10 (since I have gained weight). I heard the reviews about the sizes being waaaayyy off and too small. They were all accurate. Whatever clothing manufacturer made this for Columbia, should NEVER be used again. Otherwise, I love this skort but size up at least 2-3 sizes, or expect to lose 30-40 pounds before you can wear it. ... show more

So, it seems comfortable at first, and at first glance it looks real nice. But... 1) the 'skort' lining is very very short, so your thighs still rub together when you walk. May as well just wear a skirt, if you're still going to have to put up with that. Whyyyyy they did not make the shorts part longer, I will never know. 2) The 'shorts' part is attached to the skirt part all along the fly... so if you have a belly, this will actually *accentuate* it. Like, isn't the whole point of a skort, that you get that smooth flowing front like a skirt? The shorts and the skirt need to be independent of each other, any fool could tell you that. So, yeah, it is literally the worst of both worlds; as uncomfortable as a skirt and as unflattering as shorts. All this for $60!! Sorry, I usually love Columbia stuff but, this is just a big hot mess. ... show more

Why in the world are the shorts inside this skort so short, Columbia?! Was there not an actual woman who actually put one on as part of the design team because if there was, this huge design flaw wouldn't have occurred! I'm a very athletic woman and can't wear shorts to work so skorts are the perfect workaround & I've had quite a few. I've never had any like this! The shorts inseam is about an inch so they fit like uncomfortable butt huggers that ride up. Miserable feeling and it's too bad, because the skirt material & appearance is really nice.
