This boot is perfect for my daily walks around the neighborhood during North Dakota winters. It met the 5 needs I shopped for: good gripping soles, light weight, support, comfort and warmth. I wore these while moving. The days I wore these boots vs my other boots I own, my whole body hurt. I had to stop working 3-4 hours earlier (12-18 hour days). Other than that I love them. Short use only in the future for me. I thought it was the amount of use, but my Other ones worked just fine.

    • Beautiful boot for people with thinner feet

This is a beautiful boot and well constructed, however, for me, the vamp part (stitched area connecting the laced part to the toe box) is too tight and is made for a more flat, long foot. Getting a size up wouldn’t fix either since the shoe is true to size length wise. I am returning.

I normally wear an 8.5. I ordered a 9.5 and they are too tight in the toe box. The length is fine, and if you have super skinny feel these may work for you, but I'm a narrow to medium width and they don't work for me. There is also an issue with the inside of the boot where my ankle bone is. There is a thick seam that after a few minutes of walking rubs and is very uncomfortable. The footbed has some cushioning, but the sides don't seem insulated enough to keep you warm for very long. I didn't actually wear them though, and maybe with some wool socks you'd be ok. Very comfortable but if you are looking for a taller boot, this one only goes a little past the ankle. I believe they run a little smaller as well.
