I Can write all the great things about this shoe (I do love it), but when it comes to hiking shoes you need to try them on in store. I tried on probably 15 pairs of extremely popular hiking shoes for women in various stores, and absolutely hated them all! You have to find the shoe that feels right for you. This one was it for me! I hated the color they had in store, and also learned I would need a half size bigger than I expected (9.5), which they didn’t have in store. So I ordered on Amazon and got a color I love instead. I wore these for 10 days straight in Alaska with lots of walking and some low key hiking. They stayed dry and we’re very comfortable. No blisters!

Thanks to Try Before You Buy, I tried six hiking shoes/boots that I didn't have to purchase and return separately. Most of the Columbias fit lengthwise at a size 8 with enough toe room, but they were either too narrow or uncomfortable in the ankle. I ordered these in an 8.5, half size larger than regular shoes, and they are perfect! They felt great right away with little or no break in time. After a short hike in wet grass my feet were still perfectly dry and felt comfy, not too hot. Add in the cute camo design and I have found my perfect hiking shoe!

I bought these for two reasons, mainly because I live in a small town in euro,lots of slippery cobble walks. And because we went to Iceland for Easter break. After reading the reviews I was hoping these would do better than my last pair of Merrils. Zero grip on the cobbles, I even slipped, fell and still dealing with injury to my shoulder. These are amazing, the grip is fantastic. I'm walking all over town and not even worried about falling. They were great in Iceland as well, it rained all week. My feet stayed dry ( I did spray an extra protected layer on them) Walked across the rocky terrain, sand, no snow though. Never slipped once even though the ground, pavement was wet the whole time. I ordered the wide size, I have wide feet, lots of room for thick socks, and still very comfortable.

Love the color and style. I usually wear 6.5, but I bought size 7 and 7.5 and both were too tight, and I bought size 8, the instep is comfortable but too long. Fortunately, Amazon returns are very good, and I am considering returning it.

These boots are so comfortable! I have been a die hard Timberland hiking boot fan for the past 12 years, but my last pair just didn’t feel as good as they had in the past. I went on the hunt for a different boot and I’m so glad I took a chance on these. I have always worn an 8.5 but based on other reviews I ordered a 9 in these and they fit perfectly. I have a narrow foot with a very high arch. When I put these on I thought these feel like slippers with support! I walk my dog 4 miles most days, so these are a welcome relief. I sprayed them twice with a silicon spray by Kiwi. I have only walked through wet grass so far and my feet stayed dry. I live in Indiana, so it won’t be long before the fall rains and snow will begin. I have high hopes that my feet will stay dry with properly treating these again with the silicone spray. I will update my review once the weather changes here. Another thing I won’t to mention is the ability to lace these tightly or loosely based on the width of your feet. The boots were comfortable and not stiff right out of the box, so you’ll be able to lace them how you need without breaking the boots in. I hope this helps and that you’ll enjoy them as much as I do.
