I work on an island at a hotel/marina. These shirts are great for it. They are dressier enough for the hotel and dry quickly for getting wet. Keep me from getting sun burnt and if I get too warm I can roll up the sleeves and button them.

Columbia makes good quality shirts, that is why they cost so much. But hunt around in the different colors on amazon and the price can range from $25-$50 for the same shirt in different colors so worth checking all the colors. If you are over an XL (i.e. have a belly) the shirt might be a little short, if your torso falls straight (i.e. no weight issues) then then length will be just right or generous. Either way it protects against the sun with its UV rating while still being cool with the venting and lightweight material. Two thumbs up. ... show more

This is a wonderful multi-purpose shirt. The long sleeves are very functional because they are easily rolled up to 3/4 sleeves. I use it for light physical activity like errands around town, day hiking, and bowling. It's a nice airy shirt. It's a little too casual to dress up and a not enough of a tech shirt for heavy-duty backpacking or hiking in very hot climates, but it fits the bill for day-to-day activities. I like the Tamiami shirts a little more for serious hikes, but I use the Bermuda a fair bit. ... show more
