This dress is a bit strange. The material is advertised to repel water and it certainly does. When you feel the material - which is listed as mostly polyester- is almost feels plastic like. I didn’t want to purposely throw something on it which could stain, but it claims to resist stains which I believe it would given the tightness of the weave and the material itself. I ordered a size small which is my normal size and it fit perfectly. The dress is comfortable if you can get used to the unusual feel of the fabric and allows for free and easy movement. It is very lightweight. I ordered the light blue and it is a pretty color and not see through at all. I wore a dark bra to check it out and you couldn’t see it at all. The description of this dress makes it look like it has 2 normal side pockets. It actually has a large “kangaroo” pocket across the front which creates a noticeable pouch in the front. The dress is a good length, hitting just above the knees and has the side ties which can adjust the length slightly and actually looks pretty cute. Columbia is a top of the line brand and the quality of this dress is evident. However I don’t really know where this dress should be worn. It advertises that is has UV protection but I don’t think this dress would be comfortable at the beach or exercising in. It you are looking for a lightweight, mostly casual dress that you don’t have to worry about getting stained this might be perfect for you. A casual office setting or maybe a summer party where you want to look a little more dressed up than shorts. Or even shopping on a very hot day to keep you cool.

This all season dress is very versatile. Great for walks, vacations, or any outdoor activity. The material is exceptional and comfortable. Medium weight, UPF 50 sun protection. True to size, I sized up for a loose fit. Amazing value, I can see this being used for a couple years!

This is a durable, but light dress for summer. The navy (Nocturnal) is a satisfying neutral blue. The dress has pockets on both sides, perfect for someone who needs a more functional outfit. At $60 this dress sure is pricey, but it is from great company. You’ll certainly have to weigh the benefits for yourself before purchasing, but the quality is there to back it up.

Really can't say enough about this garment. Quality fabric and construction features throughout. Exactly what you would expect from this brand. So many features combine to make it the perfect travel dress. It is very breathable and offers sun protection as well. That is another import feature for me as I live in a very hot climate. I waited to launder before reviewing and wanted to see how quickly it would dry without a dryer. For me, that is the hallmark of a travel garment! This one dried very quickly and wrinkle free. I didn't twist to remove water but rolled it in a dry towel to remove excess moisture. It is true to size for me. Very nice deep side pockets and a shirring detail at lower sides. Hem is a rounded shape for added interest to the styling. Very very happy with the dress

I'm not sure I'd call this an "all seasons" dress. It's most definitely something you wear in the summer. Like many Columbia items, the size does run a little on the small side. I am definitely a medium, but it was a little snug going on. It does have some give, so once it was on, the fit was okay. The pockets are a little odd in how they're positioned. But they are VERY roomy. I like the ties on the sides, which allow you to adjust the skirt length on the sides. It will be nice to wear this to the beach or pool. It protects from UVA/UVB rays, and dries quickly.

Love this dress, so simple and comfy. Quality! Stretchy fabric, lightweight, and the blue color is really beautiful. The pockets are a nice and comfortable detail. I'm looking forward to wearing it on my next vacation. It blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays. The M is perfect for me, 132 pounds, 5'5". While it's a bit pricey, the quality is undeniable. Highly recommended.

Comfortable design and fabric, and the color is great. It washed up well and hang dried quickly. It was also very flattering. I like the idea of the side ties to give it a little more of a design but they aren't great. They're a little difficult to get set at the same height and you have to scrunch the sides a bit for it to look right, but if you do too much it looks funky and kind of baggy at the knees. Cute, just takes a bit of effort.
