Frequently asked questions

Yes, the Columbia Snowslope II Bib for children is designed with a waterproof nylon shell which keeps your child dry in snowy or rainy conditions. However, it's worth noting that while the fabric is waterproof, the seams are not sealed so in extremely wet conditions, water might seep through.

The Snowslope II Bib features Columbia's Omni-Heat Reflective lining. This thermal technology is designed to reflect body heat to keep the wearer warm. It also comes with 60g Microtemp XF II insulation for added warmth.

Absolutely, the Columbia Snowslope Bib comes with adjustable suspenders and an adjustable waist. This makes it easy to fit the bib to your child's size and provides room for growth.

The Snowslope II Bib provides good insulation for cold weather but it might not be adequate for extreme cold without proper layers. Combining it with proper thermal underclothes should provide sufficient protection in extremely cold weather.

๐Ÿš€ Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The reviews for these snowpants are fairly mixed, but overall most customers seem content with their purchase. The pants are commended for their fit, especially when ordering a size up, and their ease of wear for children. However, some customers note their children felt chilly in the pants and that they ripped quickly, especially without reinforced knees.

Pros

  • ๐Ÿ“ Good fit when sized up
  • ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿป Children can easily put them on and off
  • โ„๏ธ Keep children dry in the snow
  • ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ Not too bulky

Cons

  • โ„๏ธ May not be warm enough for very cold climates
  • ๐Ÿ‘– May be too tight fitting for some children
  • ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ No reinforced knees, which can lead to quick damage
  • ๐Ÿ”ฉ Missing features like zippered pockets

Should I Buy It?

It seems like these snowpants could be a decent investment for more temperate climates or less intense snow play due to their simplicity and easy-wear design. However, if you're in a harsher climate, require high durability or desire certain features like zippered pockets, it might be better to look elsewhere.

  • Come on snow!
Color: Black Size: 3T
My grandson is usually a sz 2T - I bought the 3 and it fits beautifully! I'm a bit out of practice as far as the correct order of putting on snow pants, boots, mittens, hats and jackets... Whew! But once on , I love the snowpants! So did he!!

  • A good pair of ski pants
Color: Black Size: Small
I got this for my 7,5 yarar Daughter(went a size up) slightly long but other than taht it fits well. I Wonder if it could be a warmer, easy get on and off even with many layers.

  • Columbia Unisex Baby Snowslope Ii Bib Size: Medium Color: Black
Color: Black Size: Medium
We purchased both these Columbia bibs and the Amazon Essentials brand. After trying on and comparing, we are returning these. The Columbia bibs seem to have significantly less insulation, yet are made of the same material. The Amazon Essentials bibs have zippered pockets, the Columbia bibs do not. The Amazon Essentials bibs have a hard plastic loop to which you can attach things (gloves, goggle bag, etc.), the Columbia bibs do not. The Amazon Essentials bibs have reinforcement layer at the knees and in the buttock area, the Columbia bibs do not. Made in Vietnam ... show more

  • it's more like "fits tight"
Color: Black G Size: Large
Instead of "fit too small", it's more like "fits tight". The length was perfect. I bought two pair: one for my 9 year old (girl) and one for my 11 year old (girl). I was expecting them to run a little small, but instead, they were really snug. Too snug for my tall (and fit) 11 year old. She's tall for her age, at a healthy weight, but the pants were too tight at the hip area. She couldn't squat comfortably. My 9 year old is a little thicker for her age, but the pants fit her well. Still snug, but she could move around fine. Pants were warm and kept them dry, not too bulky. ... show more

  • No reinforced knee?!
Color: Black Size: 4T
No reinforced knee?! Wish I had noticed that before buying. My 3 1/2 year old son is on his knees a lot when he is out playing in the snow and these ripped the second time he wore them.

  • Not meant for COLD weather
Color: Black Size: 4T
These ran a little small, my son wears 4T so that's what we ordered. Unfortunately they were a little short and a little tight but we managed to make them work for a while. If you live in places with cold winters, I wouldn't recommend these. I live in Alaska and these felt like "rain pant material." They're thin and have a super thin lining of cotton inside. After 30 minutes of play outside, I'll take my son in and feel his legs and they feel chilled! They don't feel like the best snow pants. I feel like these are meant to be for 35 degree weather. The snowpants tore very easily! My son tripped and tore the leg on a rock. That's where I discovered the little strip of cotton inside. You don't get the bang for your buck. ... show more

  • Not bad but...
Color: Black G Size: X-Small
They keep her warm but the elastic on the bottom is too big for her legs so the snow keeps getting in the pant legs and her boots... Iโ€™ll have to find a way to tighten them.
