Description

Designed to meet the needs of active anglers, this shirt is made of a soft 100% cotton poplin weave in an easy relaxed fit. It has roll-up sleeves with tab holders, plenty of pockets, and a rod holder to help free up your hands while on water. A mesh-lined vented back keeps things breezy and comfortable, while a utility loop keeps gear handy. Columbia offers this garment in multiple colors and sizes. Relaxed Fit. To ensure the size you choose is right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the sleeve. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits, and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.

  • Runs a little big, but I will be buying more.
Color: Fossil Size: X-Large
SIZING: The shirt does run a little big, so keep that in mind. I usually buy XXL cotton shirts (because they usually shrink down to proper XL size), but I bought this in XL and it is plenty roomy. Not too big, though, and had minimal to no shrinkage in the wash. Just right for me. It is nice being a little loose though, since you wear this type of shirt in the sun and heat. THE SHIRT: The sun and I have always had an agreement to disagree. And since having skin cancer already at the age of 25, I need to protect myself from the sun, no matter what the weather. So, I do not use this shirt as intended (for fishing) but as a lightweight sun-shirt for general wear. The fabric is 100% cotton, very light-weight, and fairly durable for its light-weightness (if that is a word :D...). It seems to breathe well with the vented back, and is quite cool, no pun intended. As a note: If you use this shirt to conceal a weapon, sew in a patch of heavier fabric where the pistol normally rides if you have a "snaggy" pistol. First day, my 1911's hammer made a nice rip on my right side. Not the shirt's fault, as a 1911 hammer can grab clothing very efficiently, but something to note. ... show more

  • Good shirt at this price but sizing is way off.
Color: White Cap Size: X-Small
Great fishing shirt to get on sale. Convenient and comfortable. No complaints as to the shirt, but the sizing is a different story. I am kind of between small and medium in other versions of these Colombia shirts. After returning a small that was bigger than some of my other mediums, I got this X small, which fits, but is still larger than most other small shirts! And, I even ordered a xxs as a back up! That shirt fits like most smalls! Whatever, these Indian made shirts seem to run larger than Vietnamese made ones for any given stated size. ... show more

  • Good Shirt
Color: Black Size: Large
I ordered a size smaller than usual as others suggested and it fit correctly. I like the shirt because it's made of 100% cotton (except for one netted panel at the interior top back) and because it breathes well. Even if I'm wearing a heavy backpack there's still enough ventilation to cool the shirt. I don't like to keep items in my pants pockets, so I wear two-pocket shirts for convenience. This shirt has a whole array of pockets, straps, and hooks because it is intended for fishing (disclaimer: I haven't fished since I was 8) this exceeded my needs, but I'm never without a place to keep items while wearing the shirt. I especially like the left-front logo strap to keep my sunglasses. The material is durable and quick-drying. Even if I spent a day sweating in it, the shirt is good for another day before it needs a wash. The only complaint I have is what I think is an excessive use of velcro fasteners. This probably has to do with its intended sporting purpose, but I prefer ordinary button closures. The velcro has held up so far, but I may wish to have a few replaced with buttons somewhere down the line. ... show more

  • Cotton. Pockets. style. Nuff said!
Color: White Size: X-Large Tall
Love these shirts. the cotton (hate synthetic cloth) and love the multi pockets. the laundry and I wear them out after years of wear and I order more. I think only the Columbia Bonehead brand is the all cotton. These shirts for a dressier occasion and Carhart for work. All is right in the world!

  • Good for travel
Color: Fossil Size: X-Large
Love these shirts for international travel. Lots of pockets. Good for hot climates. Please make them in more natural colors, though (more greens or browns, and fewer bright colors).

  • Way, Way Too Long!
Color: Fossil Size: X-Large
I always wear XL, so naturally, I bought XL. What I got could be worn as a dress...or maybe a tent. It is fully 3.5" longer than Columbia's XL-tall Bahama style shirt. So then I bought L, and well, it kind of fits better, but it's just cut weird. This is billed as a sun shirt, so it's not unexpected that the sleeves would be longer than a dress shirt, but now, with the L/G, the sleeves end about where expected, but the shoulder seams hang off of my shoulders, as if it was made for someone with impossibly wide shoulders, but very short arms. In case anyone is wondering about the labeling, it shows "XL/TG" I have another shirt (Columbia) from the same company, which I purchased as XL-tall, but that one is labeled, "XL/TGL". Trying to understand why the XL was so much bigger than the XL-tall, I actually contacted the manufacturer. I was told that "TG" stands for Tres Grande, which means Very Large in French., but he didn't know what "XL/TGL" means. I sent him a photo of the label, at which point he guessed that it meant XL-tall. I then asked why XL/TG was so much bigger than "XL/TGL" and he gave me a scripted disclaimer to the effect that sizes can vary. That's certainly true with shirts from his company! I actually bought that XL/TGL" shirt because I originally bought XL and found the sleeves to be too short. So on one style, the XL is too short, but on another style, XL is WAY too long. It's just silly. If the sizes aren't comparable even within the same company's offerings, then they are essentially useless. One has to wonder if it is even consistent within the same style. For example, is the XL always much too long? And to cap it off, the guy I spoke to cared not at all. No ownership, no responsibility, so I have to believe that ALL of their shirts are made wonky, and as a matter of company policy, they don't care at all. ... show more
