Description

Columbia's PFG line is loved by everyone, but specifically designed with anglers in mind. Its comfort and functionality make this Columbia Men's PFG Bahama II Long Sleeve Shirt a first choice for enjoying a day out on the water and in the sun. The high quality materials used to craft this men's fishing shirt are what make it so special, while its modern classic fit speak to style and comfort. The Bahama II Long Sleeve fishing shirt features some of Columbia's best sun protection technology to help prevent skin damage while outdoors. The fabric is crafted of UPF 30 to protect against harmful UVA and UVB rays, sunburns, and long-term skin damage. The mesh-lined back vents add breathability to the shirt to ensure comfort even when things get hot; the 100% nylon fabric is lightweight and dries quickly to keep you cool. Lastly, this long sleeve shirt's utility features make fishing life a little easier with a rod holder, multiple low-profile pockets, and adjustable roll-up sleeves. Columbia's long sleeve fishing shirt comes in many size categories and colors as well. To ensure the size you choose is right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the sleeve. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.

πŸš€ Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

These shirts have received overwhelmingly positive reviews, with users praising their comfort, versatility, and durability. Despite running a bit large, reviewers found these shirts great for outdoor activities, excellent at providing sun protection, and breathable in humid conditions. They also appreciate the many available colors, convenient pockets, and moisture-wicking fast-drying fabric.

Pros

  • πŸ‘ Extremely versatile and suitable for numerous activities and occupations
  • πŸ‘ Great for hot weather and sun protection, due to breathable and light material
  • πŸ‘ Durable and long-lasting even with regular use
  • πŸ‘ Useful features such as fast-drying fabric and convenient pockets

Cons

  • πŸ‘Ž Sizes run larger than expected, which may require ordering a size down
  • πŸ‘Ž Difficulty with shirt buttons, specifically the holes being slightly too small for the buttons
  • πŸ‘Ž Some customers might find the color selection too flashy or not to their preference

Should I Buy It?

Absolutely, especially if you need a durable and versatile shirt that performs well in hot, humid, and sunny conditions. Though you may need to size down and take some extra time with the buttons, the pros significantly outweigh these minor inconveniences.

  • Awesome shirt
Size: X-Large Color: Marine Blue
My best friend had on one of these shirts and I had a long sleeve T-shirt while on a backpacking trip. I was severely eaten alive by mosquitos, but they couldn't get thru this shirt he was wearing. Needless to say, I immediately went out and bought one of these shirts. They are comfortable and really do help keep the mosquitos from eating you alive. ... show more

  • Dad's Favorite Work Shirt!
These Columbia shirts are my dad's favorite work shirts. They might be your favorite work shirts too, even though they are sold as a fishing shirt. The shirt has built in sun protection at what I believe is still the highest level available on the market in a fabric. This is not a scam, although I thought it was for a long time. My dad is a skin cancer survivor and his doctor recommended that he wear clothing made out of sun protection fabric. We loooked at a lot of different shirts before finding one which was sturdy enough for a full day of outdoor manual labor. The shirt is tough! The original four shirts that we purchased for my dad have survived being worn and washed at least once a week (usually more) for almost two years. That's really good for a work shirt. The shirt has two front pockets and dad loves those pockets. They are huge, and you can actually get a iPhone 6+ in them. And your paper notepad in the other one, because why would you use the iPhone to take notes? The shirt is not too hot to wear even though it has long sleeves. The back of the shirt has an air vent. I admit that it looks a little odd. But comfort and function is kind of the key here. You can also roll up the sleeves a bit and secure them into cuff buttons, but that negates the sun protection. Finally, the shirt comes in a lot of fun colors and a lot of sizes, including big and tall. Here's a link to a listing that includes more options: Columbia Men's Bahama II Long Sleeve Shirt, White, Medium . Many work shorts only come in a few muted shades (and you can get basic black, white, and gray I think here), but it's nice to have options if you want them. After two years some of my dad's brighter-colored shirts have faded quite a bit. They're still some of my favorites. Edited to add: this is a lighter weight shirt. Dad wears it solo in the spring and summer & as a layer in the fall and winter. He is in the Midwest. I recommend the Columbia Sportswear Bahama II Longsleeve Shirt without reservations. ... show more

  • Fanciest shirt I own
The pockets have little tags that read PFG. That does not mean pancake fritter globs. It does not mean paper fudge giraffes. What it does mean is Pro Fishing Gear. I did not know this until I already owned the shirt and someone asked me. Then I had to use my phone and look it up. Then I had to explain that I am not a fisherman. I don't fish and have never fished but I wear this shirt just in case I feel like fishing so I will be ready. It has fancy loops and pockets that might be able to hold a fish. If you were a fisherman would you put fish in those pockets? Did I mention that water is scared of this shirt? If you put water on this shirt it will freak out and try and get away as soon as possible. Its pretty funny to watch. The back of the shirt has this flap that lets air in and out of your body. The bad news is if you stink it will let the stank out. You might even call it a stank flap. But don't worry because there is a mesh netting in there to keep anything from getting back into your shirt. I wonder if you took off the shirt you could use the netting to catch a fish. Overall it is a very nice shirt. I wore it to the grocery store. The lady at the checkout said it was very nice. The fellow bagging groceries said my shirt made me look important. I don't know about all that but I really liked standing in the sea food department wearing this shirt. I fit about 25 frozen shrimps in one pocket! Over all I have to say that this shirt makes me feel good when I wear it and that's what clothes should be all about. I kind of feel like that guy in Jurassic park. You know the main guy who wrote books about dinosaurs not the old dude who made the dinosaurs come back to life. Now all I need is a cool hat that makes me look like a fisherman but makes me feel like going and seeing dinosaurs run around. ... show more

Size: Medium Color: Marine Blue
I got one of these for a friend who occasionally works in the sun. He loves this shirt so much I got him another and he’s really happy with them. Lightweight, wicks sweat, fits, washes-wrinkles knock out in the dryer-and looks like new. He comes home pretty dirty but this shirt always looks great and is comfortable. ... show more

  • Nice and light
I'm 178 cm and 65 kilos slim build and Medium fits great - shirt color is a little bit lighter than pictured ( I got the Sage color ) but well made, very lightweight, nice mesh back panel for ventilation, 2 big front pockets with smaller fold over pockets on each side, sleeve tabs for short sleeve conversion and a sunglass loop on left front pocket - very very comfortable and stylish with some hydrophobic qualities - this is my new favorite hot weather shirt - oh and the back mesh panel is in the perfect position for some back mesh venting with a backpack on - what's not to love ? Oh yeah, and if anybody has a problem with the PFG tags on this shirt you should check out Columbia's Silver Ridge Lite shirt - basically the same shirt just without the PFG fishy bling Hope this helps somebody ... show more
