This is actually the second shirt I bought in this style, just a different color. I bought my first one about two years ago, and it is still in basically new condition. Other polo shirts typically give me six months to a year before they start looking a little worn, faded, and/or misshapen. This one has held up. It costs twice as much as my other polos. I have many Columbia shirts from the regular-size range in the XXL. These shirts fit me much better. Watching the pricing, I was able to get this and several other colors for a steal-of-a-deal, i.e. less than $15 or less with prime shipping-- you know that's a good deal.The fabric looks great, it has a sheen to it which along with the texture makes the shirt look new every time I wear it. This is a beautiful shirt so I gave it 5 stars. That is out of the package, not actually wearing or washing. BUT I usually order an XL Tall size. In this shirt the shoulders are fine at that size but there is no taper in the body so it was "too large" at the waist. I am 6'3", 220 pounds, 46 chest, 39 waist. Have just arranged to exchange for a L Tall in hopes the shoulder will be OK and the body a bit slimmer. ... show more

I love these shirts. They fit exactly as I expected and I have ordered at different times. I have 3. They have been washed over a dozen times and do not fade and do not lose their shape. Very comfortable in Florida climate. Unrelated to quality I wish they had a pocket for my readers but we can't have everything and I also realize that is not part of Columbia's strategy. ... show more

This is simply the best polo I've ever seen, let alone bought. It's sortof a thick, layered material that wicks, and the fabric has a great texture to it (much better looking than you can tell from the picture). I saw it in a local store but they didn't have it in my size, so I dug it up on Amazon. Don't know what Columbia's deal is with listing a UPF - never seen someone get a sunburn through a solid shirt - maybe some newer wicking materials are prone to that?
