I wore these on a recent trip to Galapagos and Machu Picchu. I was so glad to have the additional support around my ankles. I walked over very rough lava rock and these boots had great grip. I never slipped in these even on wet rocks. I looked at the soles and they were not chewed up by the sharp lava rock. At home, I washed them and the removable insoles. They don't seem to have any odor issues. I found that light socks are the most comfortable. Heavier socks give a snugger fit, which I find uncomfortable if I'm sitting for long periods, e.g. on a plane. Putting them on and removing require you to loosen the top half of the laces. They tie neatly, but require you to do a final knot with the loops to keep them from dragging on the ground. They stayed tied and snug during hours of hiking. These are light boots, and water tight. The color I chose is great, and I think these are a great buy for the occasional hikes.

Bought these shoes and wore them regularly before hiking through Zion National park. Very comfy and grippy over sandy rocks, wet rocks, mud, everything these shoes did it all. After 2 days i noticed some fraying along the waterproofing on the outside of the shoe and with a lighter i burned the fraying away and it hasn't come back since, i think it was just from the constant movement and environment. I did get a hole in the waterproofing from a rock, but it didn't seem to effect it much after walking though puddles and standing in a few inches of water i nvm felt my socks get wet. Are these comfy and great for moderate hiking? yeah these are awesome and check the boxes. Will these get you through something as rigorous as the entirety of the Appalachians? Probably not.

This seems like a good shoe. I’ve been wearing them for about 2 weeks now and I’ve really been hard on them. Not only am I on my feet 8+ hours per day at work (concrete floors) I also landscape on the side so these shoes have been in the mud, rock, mulch etc… I haven’t tried them on the trail just yet but they’re so comfortable I’m confident they will hold up to the test.

I REALLY like the construction, look and features of this shoe. Sadly, they are too narrow for my wide feet. The length is perfect, but having my feet squeezed from the side meant I had to return them. I really wanted these to fit better because I really like the shoes!

I ordered these for the lightweight and cushioning, because my last outing in my Keen Targhee II hiking boots left me with aching feet at the end of the day. These fit the bill in being lightweight & they were so cushiony my Keens felt like I was walking on concrete! But WHY do these manufacturers insist on making boots/shoes with such a narrow/pointy toe box?? I normally wear a 12 D, so I ordered a 13 wide. I would’ve had to order about a 16-17 for my toes to not feel cramped in the toe box. I just wish ANY OTHER manufacturer would make a similar product with a toe box as wide as Keens. Definitely would NOT recommend these.
