First of all I must mention those are my first columbia shoes. Size wise - I wear mostly new balance 11.5 2E (wide) M990v4 shoes among other shoes/boots, So I choose 11.5 Wide, And those seems tighter than usual (even compared to non-wide shoes). They also feel like size 12 in length, So not that comfortable upon 1st impression. After wearing them for several hours, My feet got a bit adapted to them and they feel ok. I think I can wear them for few hours without any problems. They are relatively light weighted, But they seems built good enough to last few years as main walking gear for winter. Another thing : You can't take out the built in inner sole, So take it into consideration while choosing the shoe size. ... show more

I've been wearing these for a few years now as work boots. About 5 years ago my feet would get to hurting so bad towards the end of the work day, I could hardly walk, after trying different shoes/boots I came across these, but I learned to order them a half size large so I can add gel insoles. These were exactly what my son needed & I learned a long time ago, you get what you pay for. However in this case, I think I got a steal! I bought these for my 12 year old to go camping/hiking and he put them to the test. It rained all night so it was very wet and muddy when they went on their hike. When he came back home, they didn’t look quite as pretty, but that’s not Columbia’s fault. Underneath all the dried mud, they still looked and performed the same. My son told me his feet stayed dry even though he walked through mud puddles that everyone else was walking/jumping around (of course he walked through them. He’s 12). So even though I feel like I skimped on his sleeping bag, I was very grateful I purchased these for his feet. I was also incredibly shocked I found them on sale for 75$. One of the best parts of making this purchase is he’ll eventually grow out of them, but I highly suspect they’re durable enough that I’ll be able to keep them for myself. I’m certain they’ll need a good clean up, but I really believe they’ll hold up. :) ... show more

Ordinarily I would wait for a bit to write a review for clothes or shoes, allowing myself time to acclimate to make an unbiased observation. I wore these shoes one day and EVERYONE loves their look and they feel sooooooooooooo great on my feet. I generally wear a 9.5 wide, but I knew these being for snow (for me), that I would probably be wearing thick socks from time to time. The fit is perfect, I could wear these daily if they went with everything, and the price for Columbia's is fair. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this model. Good Luck with your purchase. The delivery person said the package was handed directly to a resident which was not so. The package was left at the door. Not a problem with that but don’t write that it was handed directly to a resident when that not true. However, I love the shoes. They fit a little big so I have 2 insoles in them. I was wondering how these would feel buying through the internet. I was surprised that they fit well out of the box. I have worn them now 4 times and they are breaking in GREAT, they have loosen and feel like a sneaker with the exception of their weight. They will keep your feet warm and dry.
