These boots make me feel like they are hugging my feet, I don't even know they are there! They hold my feet solid but have enough flex that I can wiggle my toes like a softer shoe. They have a 'springiness' to them so when I walk my foot feels like it's being lifted or pushed up as I move it up to take a step and a cushion landing even after they are ready for the trash they don't loose that feel. They look nice in all settings and support the ankle well. Of course, using them all the time instead of just hiking wears them down (mainly the exterior/uppers) in about 9 or 10 months, but they are still good for a grunge work boot for 6 more months. My feet haven't been happier, this is my 3rd pair. For sure $65 is a reasonable price to get a good fitting, good looking, hard working pair of boots.

By far the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. Very lightweight for being leather boots. I wear them every day from the time I leave the house to the time I get ready for bed and each pair I’ve had has lasted me 10-12 months (which is about all I ever get no matter the price point). I’ve worked construction, hunted, hiked, climbed 14,000 ft mountains, and jumped out of planes with these for a couple years and the only complaints I have revolve around the boot being made of a dark leather. They don’t breathe well and because of the dark color they are miserably hot on 90+ degree days when in direct sunlight for hours. But again, they’re dark leather. I knew these were gonna be issues when I bought them the first time, but now I’m on my third pair. They’re more comfortable than any Solomon shoes I’ve ever had and I’ll continue to buy them as long as Columbia has them available.

I have a slightly odd foot, falling between D and DD so shoes for Me either get in the groove within a few days or never do. After 3 days, i can say WOW these are very comfortable, no slipping or binding, just, well, HAPPY FEET. The way i beat up shoes / boots, the million dollar question is "How long will they last" - and i will repost / update as that flag unfurls, LOL ... But seriously, these fit great, are VERY comfortable and nothing I could see in the construction makes Me concerned about longevity (in a shoe at this price point, of course)

Great to wear as a work boot cuz it come in extra wide option if you like me you know how hard it is to find extra wide shoes or boots. The price is great the shoe fit perfect and comfortable right out the box with extra room the shoelaces are great and durable which I was surprised cuz I had other boots in the same price range that normally would use cheap laces but these actually use good quality shoelaces that hold up to a 12-hour 5-day a week warehouse job. Been wearing them ever since I got them for work and outside as a casual shoe. If your job request work boots these shoes are good alternative cuz they kind of look like they could be considered work boots. I will definitely recommend these and will be buying them again when I need another pair

So far I really like these boots/shoes, they fit me great, look great, and were a good price. But honestly let me wear them out and see how long they last and how comfortable they stay and then I can do a proper review. I have bought a different brand boot/shoe from my local farm store (I think these are a cowboy brand) for the last 6-7 years and I liked them so much that I always went back and just bought the same shoe when they wore out, but- they weren't waterproof, they wore out in about a year of use, and they were more expensive then these boots/shoes I just bought. So if these Columbia's can do better than the ones I bought from the farm store then Columbia will have a new returning customer in me- but hopefully not too often, I want these babies to last.

I purchased these for my husband. I was hesitant; they were on sale at the time. I thought I’d give them a try. My husband told me they are similar in comfort as his usual Timberland boots. The main different is the width of these isn’t quite as wide as the Timberlands. He stands on concrete floors at work so wearing comfortable shoes are important. He reports that while he’s working he hasn’t thought about his feet, which is good. He hasn’t experienced any discomfort wearing them to notice.

I spent 4 days hiking more than 30 miles in the Sangre De Cristo mountains in Colorado. I wore Columbia Men's Newton Ridge Plus Ii Waterproof Hiking Shoe every day I hiked. I walked a few miles at home to break the shoes in before heading to the mountains, but honestly, they didn't need to be broken in. The shoes were comfortable the entire time, and other than some rubbing against the outside of my big toe, I didn't have any blisters. There were several water crossings and I decided to walk thru the water rather than around to test if they were indeed waterproof. Thankfully, my feet never got wet. There are several options for this particular brand and the prices seems to be fluctuate a great deal (I paid half of what they are now going for on the site). If you watch the prices, you will end up with a VERY competitively priced, well-made hiking boot that will last for years to come.

i love these boots. over the years of being on my feet all day i developed flat feet which require a wide boot. i've tried other wide boots with an arch and it did nothing but hurt my feet. i have a hard time finding a shoe or boot that fits properly but right out of the box i could where these boots all day with no pain. looking at the price i thought i was going to get a crappy pair of boots but i am very happy with these. so if you dont want to spend a lot of money and you have fat flat feet you should give these a try. i do not see these wearing out quickly as i like the quality. and if they do i will buy these again.
