It does the trick. It's the only robe I could find that was not super short and still had short sleeves and a belt. It is a comfortable material. I like that the ties/belt is attached (sewn on as part of the garment). It is thin, not thin as a silk robe but kinda like a t-shirt. So, hopefully that helps you determine if it's right for your needs
