These curtains work great in my living room. The front of the curtains have a tribal themed design, and the back are pitch black - NOTHING is getting through! They block light from coming in, as well as from getting out. The length is perfect, they don't touch the floor which is great because it prevents dirt and stains. Really great addition to my space!

I'm really impressed with the quality of these blackout curtains. The front fabric feels like a thick canvas material but is flexible enough to arrange the panels the way you want them. Because it's a thicker, better-quality material, they don't come super wrinkled like some cheaper curtains. I hung them up right out of the package without having to iron them. The back material feels like thick plastic, which isn't an ideal fabric as plastic usually means cheap, but these are different. First of all, the plastic feels thick and durable. Second, no one sees the back of the panels, so who cares as long as they provide enough black out ability. My sister visits during the holidays and few times in the summer and she's always complaining that my old curtains were too thin to keep the morning sun out. She's not going to complain with these now hanging in their place. They truly make the room dark and do not allow any daylight to come through. The grommets are also nice quality and are wide enough to make the panels easy to slide back and forth. I ordered the Boho Geometric, and I love the design. They've even have tassels along the bottom and both sides that really add a cute touch to the style. I ordered the 52"x84", and they're priced just right for the quality you get. I highly recommend them, especially since I don't have to listen to my sister complain anymore :)

These curtain are a true black out curtain! Used these for our living room as we live in sunny Florida and our house has a lot of light that comes in- while I love all of the natural light sometimes it does make seeing our TV difficult during the day or afternoon. My kids and husband all have raved over these curtains and how dark they make the living room because they can actually see the TV. Has a nice thick backing- almost like a leather type material so they are definitely quality made and thicker, not only light blocking but helping to keep that warm/cool air in and out where it needs to be. Fit our windows perfectly and looks great, I'm not TOO too crazy over the colors as it's a like beige/gray color with the black design but it works and I love the black fringe tassles on the edges so I can deal!

Although I am impressed by the blackout ability of these curtains, I'm not impressed by the "feel" of the fabrics... The reason these curtains do such a good job at blocking the sun is because of the black backing/lining. However, that material feels like a woven plastic, like a polyethylene - the same material that many tarps are made from. It's stiff, which isn't very "curtain-like". And the front of the curtain that has the pattern, it feels like canvas. Bottom line, these curtains are good at blocking out the sunlight, but the fabrics feel cheap. The price seems high for the quality, but they may work well for your needs.
