Folding and unfolding is just a simple twist and the latching band keeps it in a small size for toting around until you need it next. We had no issues with leakage, but you do have to make sure it threads properly when screwing the top on. The only con is that it is a little floppy when you're trying to drink from it, so you have to hold it carefully to avoid spilling the contents. We will be buying more of these. I used this water bottle for 8 days at Walt Disney World. It was easy to carry and to clean each night. The lid has to be on just right so it doesn't leak. When I didn't have water, it was convenient to fold the cup and slip it into my bag.

I originally got this for my son thinking no issues, the size is fine but the folds end up cracking. It’s very easy to hold and clean. I use this for my disabled son and it works fine. I wanted a collapsible water bottle but many of them collapse when they're not full. The sides of this one are rigid enough that it stays standing full, half full, empty... I do like the straw feature. I was concerned about having a removable lid that I would lose and found this one by luck. The wide mouth opening also means that it can be cleaned. It doesn't fold as small as others but the stand on its own capability was key for me. It comes with a little direction card on how to get rid of smell/taste. I followed the tea bag recommendation and have not noticed any plastic smell or taste at all. I would highly recommend. ... show more
