Towards the end of last summer, my husband and I needed to get some new chairs for when we sit outside or go somewhere since our old ones were worn out. I did some searching on here and these were the first ones that stuck out to me. I've known for awhile that the Coleman brand has a good reputation and I was pretty interested in these chairs since they have a lot of features and didn't cost a ton of money. We ended up purchasing the blue chair and the black chair. These oversized chairs are amazing and so comfortable! They are made in China of 100% polyethylene foam. The chairs measure approximately 24 inches wide when set up and 18 inches from the bottom of the legs to where the seat is. They can hold up to 325 pounds and feel very durable. My husband weighs about 350 pounds and he's sat in these with no problems although we bought him a chair that can hold a bit more weight, just in case. Some really cool features of these chairs are: a built-in cooler that can hold 4 cans (I can fit 3 comfortably and I think you could fit one lying on top of the other cans), a mesh cup holder which holds my water bottle, and side pockets which are GREAT for books, phones, and other small accessories like keys, wallets and sunscreen. There is one big pocket and two smaller pockets. These chairs are well-cushioned and so comfortable to relax in. The seat and back are cushioned and the arm rests are wide. The product tag also says the arm heights are adjustable although I've never tried it and the frame is made of strong steel which I definitely believe. The chairs come in a bag with a strap which makes them easy to carry. We've had these chairs for over a year and they are some of my favorite chairs that we've ever owned! I use them a lot during the summer and I've never had a problem with either of the chairs. One of the bags tore a little bit when I was putting a chair back in but that's not a huge deal to me. The tear didn't get any worse over time. Oftentimes I will sit in one chair and set up the other to use as a footrest..wow, is it so comfortable! I could sit in these chairs for hours because they are so comfortable! I don't really use the cooler as a cooler; instead, I just put my water bottle in it since it's a stainless steel one and somewhat heavy. It sticks out of the cooler but that's fine with me since I am just using it for a cup holder. I love the mesh pockets too and always stick my phone, Kindle or book in there when I'm not using them. Overall, I'm so happy I found these chairs because they are some of the best I've found! I feel the price is great for what you get and I like that there are a few different colors to choose from. We've never had a problem with the chairs themselves (only one of the bags) and several of our family members and friends have used them too. If you are looking at purchasing these for outdoor activities, I highly recommend them! They have been a great purchase and I would buy more of them in the future if we need to get more! ... show more

I don't usually gush over a chair. I've bought several portable chairs over the years trying to find the perfect balance between portability (and weight) and comfort. I never even considered trying to include convenience in my request. Well, this chair has it all and with a reasonable (actually beyond reasonable) pricetag. Let's go through it.... PORTABILTY... while not featherweight, this is a pretty easy carry and I am not a spry young thing. Schlepping weight is something that is a big consideration for me. I'm an old photographer and I have enough crap to carry without worrying about a heavy chair. No, i would not like to carry this a mile while also carrying cameras and lenses, but for a shorter jaunt it's perfect. COMFORT.... OMG. So comfortable. Easy 3 second setup (folding up and getting it back into the bag takes a bit longer but is certainly doable in a couple of minutes) and then sit right down. It feels sturdy. The larger seating area and padding make it a pleasure to sit on for a long time. And it's rated to hold up to 300 pounds. Amazing. CONVENIENCE.... a side pocket for maps (does anyone actually use maps anymore? Personally I love them) or a book or tissues or or or anything else (flashlight?, Gloves? Dog treats?) You might want close at hand. There's the cup holder for whatever you may be drinking and finally, a mini insulated bag to store (and keep cool - I haven't tested how well it does at keeping things cool) whatever you might be drinking next. Amazing. BOTTOM LINE: if you're on the fence, hop off and buy this now. The price when I bought it was under 50 and so so so worth it. I was looking for folding chairs that are strong enough to support someone over 200 pounds and comfortable and sturdy for someone elderly. This chair fit both categories. It is very sturdy and comfortable to sit in. The canvas material is strong. The side pockets are a bonus. Never fails that I end up with something in my hands that I wish I could safely tuck out of the way (parade program, map, little bag of snacks). The side pocket will serve nicely for those items. Personally, I wouldn't count on the "cooler" pocket to keep drinks cold for an extended length of time in the summer heat. It gets really hot here in Southern California. But the little compartment will be a great place to tuck a set of car keys so they don't get lost in the sand or grass. The drink holder has a rigid plastic ring to help drinks stay in place. It is the perfect size for a can of soda, a bottle of beer or a regular size soda fountain drink cup. I was a little disappointed that it is not big enough for a large soda cup or my 34-ounce bottle of sparkling water but it's certainly not a deal-breaker. I do wonder how long the carry bag will hold up. The straps feel flimsy and will likely fray over time as the bag on my old (non-Coleman) chair bag. It would be nice if the bag had just a tad more wiggle room to make it easier to get the chair back in. ... show more

I intended for these to be used for kids around 10 years old. They have outgrown their tiny chairs so I wanted to invest in some ones they could use from here on out. These chairs are great, we loved the pocket container, but they are very very large. When folded up they are so long they are too cumbersome for a child to carry on their shoulder. They were almost too long for me (a shorter adult 5’2”) to carry comfortably. This was disappointing since the price was great. I will also say that the bag it comes in is terrible. I could see it breaking within a few uses. It is very thin and flimsy. We returned the items and will be looking for something else. ... show more
