They smell good and last a good long while, so we keep a dozen or so handy at all times. They go camping with us, hiking, and we keep several on hand at home just in case of emergencies. Great product, if there isn't a breeze. In a smaller area or if there is no breeze this keeps the mosquitos away, a strong wing also keeps them away. But there is a sweet spot between no breeze and strong wind where this isn't that effective.

Not quite "PINE" scented but better than "PLAIN" Citronella Smell. It arrived as a much smaller unit than I thought it would be but after sitting on my kitchen counter for the day.... I have come to really like this little thing..... Especially with the 'added pine scent'..... it is MUCH BETTER than a plain citronella-smelling candle.... although most will probably not agree that it is not pine-smelling. However, anything beyond the basic smell is always appreciated, not to mention the longer burn time/brightness in such a small unit, AND it's packability/storage! I am exceptionally happy in taking a chance with this item. ....yea, it's just a candle - BUT it lasts for 25 hours, it might dissuade bugs, and it's brighter than most for being 'just a candle'. Tis not for use in any tent, but just for enjoying the outdoors anywhere you might be --it has truly rocked my anal world of 'pickyness':)) The other thing....... I heard no crackling BUT ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE BIGGER WICK!!! If camping, it def puts out a bigger light (and hopefully keeps a few buggies away). Much better than a normal candle lantern moment. NOT TO MENTION, that this puppy: 1) Can stack on top of one another (for storage) perfectly, AND it's small enough for 'any camping kit'. 2) It is NOT glass and is SO VERY SELF-CONTAINED in it's own tin ---- it's absolutely ABFAB!!! :)) I was not going to leave a review because I have learned.... as picky as I am about items, once ravely reviewed about ---the cost goes up :) But for those of you looking for a nice candle at home or camping that puts out a brighter light than most (I could care less about 'crackling wick' and IF it hopefully might work for bugs)..... THIS PUPPY ABSOLUTELY ROCKS!!!! Not to mention that it is supposed to last for 25 hours (added bonus if it does work for bugs in a small area or if it even crackles). Being a nice self-contained unit/tin, I am back to get 10 more for my a)camping kit, b)my car camping kit, c)my patio, d)my mom's patio..... and possible little stocking stuffers for friends :)))) No glass to break anywhere, just a simple tin w/top.... yeeehaw!!!! Yep.... I truly am that impressed!
