This is the first pair of nice dress shoes that I've ever bought and it's been a revelation for me. I had just assumed all dress shoes were uncomfortable and a chore to wear, but I actually enjoy wearing these. I wear a size 13 wide and that size in this shoe is perfect for me. They take a little bit of time to break in, but that's to be expected with leather. That said, even the first time I put them on, I noticed the difference in comfort right away. I've never had a pair of dress shoes that feel this good and it just keeps getting better as they break in. Normally, one of my biggest complaints with dress shoes is the lack of breathability. I usually end up with sweaty feet a few hours after putting dress shoes on, but the laser cut in the wingtip design actually relieves it a great deal by letting moisture out. The holes don't actually go straight through to your feet though, as there is a layer of fabric underneath them that protects your feet while still letting them breathe. I got these shoes during the sale and I absolutely think they're worth the price after you take 30% off. I'm not sure I could bring myself to pay the list price of $400 for any pair of shoes though, so I would say these are too expensive if you're not getting them on sale. These shoes look amazing and are very comfortable. I usually wear Allen Edmonds as I feel Cole Haan has moved too far in the active dress shoe direction for me personally. These Washington Grands caught my interest so I bought the BritTan and Black with matching belts and havenโ€™t regretted it. Hope they bring back styles like this ... show more
