The product was fairly simple to set up, however the directions weren't clear in some parts. You have to use your better judgement. The finished table was very sturdy and very nice. For the price you can't beat this coffee table!

I had a regular circle shaped coffee table and it was always a big mess. I always wanted a table with drawers but I was worried about buying it online. I'm so glad I made a good choice buying this one! Great quality and super easy to assemble.

Was easy to assemble and is very Functional! Only reason why I didn't do 5 stars is I couldn't get all the screws and bolts to fully sink so there is a small gap in some of the connecting boards. No mater how hard I clamped it... Other then that it is Sturdy and really handy for storage and livingroom dining.

The holes don’t match up so you have to sacrifice one hole for the other 3. Bright side, it is a lovely color.

I assembled this by myself, using the box as both a cushion/stand along with some of the provided styrofoam, and it took me right at 2 hours to get it all together. I've assembled a lot of furniture over the years and this one was one of the most difficult and time-consuming to do on my own, but in the end, it yields a nice-looking coffee table with the added feature of the "lift" top and interior storage compartments. To get to that end though, you have to wander in the wilderness for a while with the instructions, and that is why it only gets 4 stars in the rating. None of the parts are labeled and all of the hardware is mixed together in two different bags along with an Allen wrench for the hex-head bolts and screws. It's essential that you sort it out correctly and not lose any parts in the process as some have extras provided and some don't. Some of the diagrams don't accurately match what's in the box, for example, the lifting rods were assembled opposite of what's in the diagram and I had to disassemble them and then reassemble them (and use Herculean strength to get them to depress to fit correctly to do so). Another example is Steps 6 and 7, the text descriptions are swapped around and don't match with what the picture shows (go with the picture in this case). I also had to use a wet washcloth and thoroughly wipe down the side supports as they were coated in a thick coat of heavy red dust/dirt that, at first, I thought was rust or corrosion. After my two-hour ordeal, I was rewarded with a nice-looking rustic-wood coffee table with hide-away storage and a lift top to take the place of my 20+-year-old coffee table that's seen better days.

Hubby & I have put together dozens of pieces of furniture, so at this point we're pretty good at figuring out the directions. So when I say the instructions were horrible, believe me - I have a lot of experience with this and THEY. ARE. HORRIBLE. That's why this is getting 3 stars instead of 5. Because the finished product is pretty nice, especially for how much it's selling for today ($90). All the pieces were included and there was at least one extra of every screw and attach-y bit. This also came with an allen wrench. We used our drill, but a wrench is a nice-to-have. This also came with enough styrofoam to build another table. Hubby hates styrofoam. Yeah, it keeps the bits from getting scratched or broken, but really, there needs to be something better. Something recyclable. Like more cardboard. Getting the pressure bars set up took some doing. You need to push them in so they can connect properly, and it takes a lot of strength. I have another table with the same kind of raising mechanism, and it seems to me that those pieces were all put together at the factory. You only had to attach the legs and bottom. The instruction pictures made it difficult to figure out how to attach the bits with pressure bars to the lid. This is important because those bits also have the side rollers for the drawer. FYI - the screw holes are closer to the front of the cabinet. We did manage to get everything together, and everything fit properly. Well, except for the back of the drawer. It works, but it didn't end up flush with one of the sides. But it fits inside the drawer box, and the drawer slides in and out, so I'm cool with it. This is NOT a one person job, and that's mostly because of the pressure bars. The top pulls up and stays just fine, though it can wobble a bit on the way up or down. Again, this is a $90 table with a moving top, so I don't really have a problem with that. If it was a $200 table, then I'd knock off another star. But for the price, this is great ONCE IT IS PUT TOGETHER. The only reason for me for knocking two stars off is how hard this was to put together. Well, also maybe the amount of styrofoam, but mostly it's because of the instructions. Luckily we didn't make any mistakes because correcting something would have possibly killed one of us.
