We only first got our boys Switches this year. Because they are young, we didn't really get a lot of violent, first person shooter type games. There are a few though that utilize this and would be applicable for this compatible controller. We did try it briefly for Splatoon which it worked but I think that was only for a training ground and not the main game (which isn't FPS). We haven't tried it yet with plants v. zombies but that might be another one. The controller does seem to allow you to point in the general direction as well as fire but it's somewhat slower and a bit awkward. Overall it works but like I said, how many games would you really use this on? ... show more

So yeah, I bought these specifically for HotD on Switch and they work pretty well. The game works of the gyroscope of the Joycons, but there are two different ways you can reset your crosshairs if thwy wander, which they will almost every twn to thirty seconds. Honestly you would think this would be a detractor, but it offers a lot of ways to play and customize the game specifically to how you want to play it, and that's kind of cool, so while they'e not the greatest, they do work and you can have fun with them to a level of pretty solid immersion. Honestly since I'm solo, I wish I got the short rifle version and would get that instead. There is no way to dual weild sadly, as the gyro problems and aiming buttons wouod require a crazy amount of octopus finger gymnastics to work, so if you'e getting this for your kids, get the rifle with these, that way you can play solo and co op and it will be a lot better. All they are is Switch controller holders, but my kids love them. They fight over who gets to use them. I thought they would help with game play, but they don't. I must be getting old because I don't get it. But, as I said, the kids LOVE them!
