Recently I have been ordering more gardening items because I used to have a vegetable garden and I'd like to start having them again, which is why I ordered this item. Assembly is required but it's not difficult. The only thing that gave me pause was that it singled out a specific rod to attach to the rake part. There was one rod that was separate from the others and it turned out that was the one intended to be attached to the rake part. There are several other rods as well. The directions make it seem like there is only one rod that would be assembled but I put in all of the rods and the rake was taller than I am! i thought that might create an issue during use but instead it gave me better control and leverage in using the rake. I tested it out as both a rake and as a means to cultivate the soil and it did an amazing job in both instances - particularly in cultivating the soil! From a price point perspective, I did a quick search of weeding and cultivating rake and this one was mid-range of what I saw. Having said that, many of them were ones that require you to be on your hands and knees to use, while this one gives you the ability to stand and do the same work with the same precision. It is sturdy and durable and I believe it will last a long time. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to others - highly recommend it even!

I ordered this rake hoping it would help clear long grass runners and leaves, and I was amazed at how well it works for that purpose. The “before” and "after" photos here show just how well it worked on the first try, and the “after” is just 20 minutes after the “before.” First the rake's long teeth easily gathered the leaves into a pile, leaving the long strands of grass runners behind. After sweeping the piled leaves into a bin, I went back over the same ground with the rake, this time twisting the grass strands onto the teeth, like winding spaghetti around a fork. It worked better than anything I'd ever tried, pulling the pesky runners up by the roots. I don’t know how I ever managed without this tool. It made the work so easy. The hardest part was assembling it, but even that was not very difficult. All the parts were included, including screws, nuts, and wrenches. I got a little confused by the assembly instructions, which didn't mention the two extra handle tubes, but looking at the product description, I realized they were optional: it depends on whether you want an extra-long rake handle. The extra length isn't necessary, but it does extend your reach and makes it easier to rake into corners without bending over. Those grass runners were tenacious, but the rake pulled them up roots and all, and its strong teeth remained unbent. If it can stand up to that, I expect this rake to last a long time.

Giving it 4 out of 5 stars based on pole parts being of thin material. The weeding hooks are of good and solid material. Can be adjusted in length by removing or adding a pole piece. Will do the job of tilling soft soil. Good for individual gardeners.

I recently ordered the 65” Long Handle Weeding and Cultivating Rake from COCONUT, and I have to say, it’s been a game-changer for my gardening routine. This product is very practical if you are slightly handy and can assemble. I have a farm and I am always dealing with weeds. This looked like a great idea to help with fall cleanup. Some areas are overgrown in the garden and just need a tool like this to tear up all the weeds and overgrown grass. The weed rake can be adjusted. I ordered a 50 inch and I am 5’4. I didn’t add the last cylinder because it would have been too tall for me. Once assembled, it is a strong rake. I’m really excited about it. You do need to know (or be willing to learn) how to use a basic wrench, Allen wrench, and lugnut wrench to assemble. All three tools are provided. It does look like a pain when you first unpack it, but it honestly just takes a few minutes. It assembles quickly once you figure out placement of screws. (I took photos of placement to show it.) I recommend this product. It is nicely made with minimal assembly.

I asked myself if I really needed another rake when I first saw this weeding & cultivating rake, but its shape and depth convinced me to give it a try. I'm really glad I did! The 3 tines of this rake are substantial, and they do a very good job at pulling up weeds by their roots. It's almost effortless, given good soil. I'm 5'4" and the 50" version of this rake is plenty long enough. I tend to hold it mid-handle, which is comfortable. I could always take a section of the handle out to shorten it if I later decide to, too. The thick handle is made from steel, which is my only concern living in a coastal area where anything except aluminum or plastic rusts quickly. Time will tell there. For now, though, this is a solid 5-star tool that is making weeding my gardens sooo easy. It comes with clear instructions to put it together, small tools to install bolts and two extra bolts. Recommend.

The Long Handle Weeding Rake by COCONUT, is a highly effective and useful tool to help me in my dreaded job of pulling weeds. The main shaft is made of steel and multiple screw attachment points to allow for breakdown in size. These break points make it easier to reduce size, but compromise overall strength if you really need to pull down on it. The metal claw feels heavier duty and durable enough to last. Its design makes it easy to pull many weeds with ease and can double as a garden rake for larger things. Overall, I’m happy with it and the help it provides. It’s easy to use, store and maintain. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. If you’d find it helpful to see an up-close visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! The Coconut 65" long cultivating rake is a great tool for anyone looking to make tough garden tasks feel effortless. Its extra-long handle works great for moving hay and also creating precise furrows for planting, without bending over, making it easy on the back. The heavy-duty metal tines are exceptionally sturdy, digging into soil and handling heavy piles of debris with ease. The D-grip handle is comfortable and secure.
