  • LOVE this stuff!
Size: Coco Bliss, 10lbs
I'm new to realizing the coco coir makes an excellent soil replenisher. I add some composted chicken manure, some perlite, and a few generous scoops of worm casings and I've got a LARGE batch of soil to replenish my garden. I am worried about it adding sodium to the soil so I'm sticking with better brands of this stuff (hopefully the actually do double rinse this stuff like they claim) They don't give very good instructions on how much water to add though. I add 2 gallons of WARM water at a time breaking it up as it expands so there are no dry spots left. I use a 27 gallon tub so I can add other items to it once it's done expanding. Using warm water it only takes about 15 minutes. It takes around 6 gallons of water (using a 2 gallon watering can) I try not to over-wet it because it doesn't really dry out if too much water is added (learned that the hard way) although I suppose you could just squeeze out the excess water, but I'm generally too lazy for that :-) ... show more

  • Really like this stuff!
Size: Coco Bliss, 10lbs
I used it to make my own putting soil .. added purchased composted chicken manure, perlite, vermiculite, and granulated fertilizer. Really nice! This is a lot once expanded with warm water.. be prepared. And, it takes a lot of water to expand it properly. After soaking the coir in a large plastic bin (built into my potting bench) I mixed the whole mixture in a plastic garbage can, adding in a little of each ingredient and mixing as I went. After peeling off some of the coir and crumbling it you have to water it down again and wait. I repeated this 4-5 times, adding the wet loose coir to the garbage can to be mixed in until it was gone. The resulting mix is light and holds water well but allows it to pass through the pot so not to water log. It took most of a day to do the watering, waiting, and mixing. The coir needs time to absorb all the moisture. I really like the texture and feel of the mix and I will be buying it again. Recommended! ... show more

  • Great for garden beds or for putting
Size: Coco Bliss, 40lbs
I use this in my vegetable garden along with other fillers to get great results. It has no smell to strict bugs and so for I haven’t seen and type of molding on it. For the price it’s a great buy and to watch just how big it grows in size is trippy.

  • Wow!
Size: Coco Bliss, 10lbs
Makes so much. Filled up an entire 16 gallon tub. Used for so many things and still have so much left over. Will be able to use for awhile.

  • Big part of my gardening essentials
Size: Coco Bliss, 10lbs
I absolutely love adding this into my potting soil. I have a huge bin that I dump my fresh dirt into, then I dump a bag of this and a bag of potting food into the bin and mix it all up. This bag gives it a great cushion to soak up water without holding onto it so that it gets moldy. It has made all of my veggies and fruit not only grow faster, but actually produce larger more appealing fruits and vegetables. Great price, a must have for all gardeners, highly recommend. ... show more

  • One block makes a lot of medium. It will expand enough to fill an average wheel barrow. Great stuff!
Size: Coco Bliss, 10lbs
I like this product because it comes in convenient sized blocks, makes an awful lot of product when mixed with water and helps to keep my potted plants hydrated. It will hold moisture longer than just using regular potting mix. This mixed with other ingredients I use helps provide and excellent medium for my plants. I like the size a lot because it produces a lot of product and is reasonably priced. ... show more
