These smaller bricks are great. I put 3-4 in a plastic container with an inch of water, add an inch or so over the top of the bricks, & let them sit a while. They break up easily with a screwdriver. I cover the same container with the lid and use as needed. Best I have found for eliminating odor from solids in a composting toilet. An inch or so in the empty plastic liner bag, a handful on top after each use. No odor. Done.

Hydrates easily. I used 16 cups of water per brick. Makes a large volume and blends easily once hydrated and broken apart. Just be patient after you add the water. Took about 15 minutes to fully soak in.
