The product worked great. This is my first year using it for my backyard garden. The coco fiber expanded well, it was easy to integrate / amend into the soil. I also use it as mulch covering to hold the water so the plant does not dry out. I do recommend this product.

We’ve been using these Plantonix coco coir bricks mainly as a mulch layer in our vegetable garden and outdoor pots, and they’ve been fantastic. After soaking, they expand into a soft, fluffy texture that’s easy to spread around the base of plants. It helps keep the soil moist longer, reduces crusting, and seems to keep the beds looking neat. The bricks store easily and hydrate without much hassle — just give it a little time to soak through. Really happy with the quality. Hardly any large chunks or trash mixed in, unlike some other brands we’ve tried. We’ll keep coming back for these.

So easy! The bricks arrived well packed & in great condition. I poured hot tap water over the bricks & they expanded before my eyes. What was left was fluffy black dirt. No bugs. No chemical smell. We used it to plant 5 varieties of vegetables & the whole project was complete in under 2 hours. There was no delay for the soil to expand. It produced more usable soil than I anticipated. We used 15 bricks total for the whole project - French beans, carrots, giant pumpkins, beets, & zucchini.

Great product! The coir expanded very quickly and makes for a great add in for my garden soil. After moistening, it mixed in easily. Great water retention also. Great price for this much coir. Will definitely purchase again.

The bricks are easy to get wet and expand nicely. I wish the packaging could indicate how many bricks are equal to cubic foot. Also I would recommend the packaging be redone so that there is less plastic to dispose of ( each brick is individually wrapped in plastic), and there are 5 bricks to a package. The cardboard package is very sturdy.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Good quality product, rehydrated quickly and evenly. Product is clean and free of debris and consistent in size. I placed it around my fig trees and it has really helped to maintain a consistent soil temperature. It also helps maintain the soil at the proper level of moisture. Very good quality product.

I’ve been using coco coir for years. I’ve always thought coco coir is coco coir; it doesn’t matter who makes it. But this brand blew me away. Other brands are a pain to hydrate and it takes forever to break up the clumps, rinse out the tannins and squeeze out the extra water. If I don’t use the soil right away of other brands, it’s so wet usually that it starts to smell.This brand is amazing. Pour a little water on it, and it literally blows perfectly moist soil off the block by itself, without me having to do anything. It took me less than two minutes to make a bus tub full. (2 blocks in tub) It is the perfect moisture and ready to use. (I add perlite and worm castings. ) I will NEVER buy another brand again.
