The bottle was securely packaged. No breakage or spillage. Delivered within the time I was expecting it. I chose this brand because they have earned COOC (California Olive Oil Council) certification. California has standardized testing of olive oil. According to an article I saw in an AARP bulletin from April 2020, the director of the Alzheimer's Prevention Clinic at Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Richard Isaacson, advised that California EVOOs are more reliable in providing benefits. Very pleased I could find it on Amazon.

California raises superior Olives. Olive and Olive Oil may have begun in the Mediterranean, but superior perfection is accomplished here in the US and may be found in Cobram brand Olive Oil. The only Olive oil I will buy is Olive Oil from California that is first press = Extra Virgin. The sweetest, purest, tastiest, most flavorful oil. Most brands disappoint me. Olive oil from Italy used to deliver. Here's what I think is happening - As Italy and other Olive Oil producers seek to cut corners in order to make more money, they make "blends", often not telling the consumer or misleading the consumer into thinking they are presenting them with authentic, Extra VIrgin Olive Oil. Anytime I see "blend" on the label, I move on. I know that not everyone will agree with me. I may be a connoisseur but I recognize that it is my personal sense of taste and preference. I know not everyone will feel the same way. And that's great. Because I'd rather you don't buy this olive oil. That means more for me. Please leave some for me. That's why I get the cost saving LARGEST size in this brand. I was afraid it would get shattered on its way to my tongue. But it was wrapped extremely well in a ball of bubble wrap. Wow! The long, delicate, pleasantly designed neck of the pretty bottle must be fragile otherwise. Cobram Estate Olive Oil is Perfect in every way, except it's not cheap! But I'm willing to pay a little more for perfection. End the lies of the Olive Oil industry. Vote with your money for integrity and perfection.

I have tried various brands of extra virgin olive oil in the past, and most of them had that plastic cover with a small hole for a spout. Sometimes oil would trickle out and other times you'd get a huge wave and inevitably you would always get oil dripping down the side of the bottle, making it slippery and creating more mess to clean up. Well, I tried the Cobram Estate California version when I saw that it had won World's Healthiest Olive Oil at the 2017 Health & Food Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition. Honestly, I know nothing about olive oil competitions- how many competitions there are, which one is the one that has most recognition, which one is most trustworthy, how many competitors there were -but I figured since I don't know if any of the other brands on the shelves had won any awards I would give this one a try. Well, I'm no taste connoisseur but I didn't have a problem with it when I used it to make a salad vinaigrette, or when I used it instead of baking spray for cornbread, or when I used it to fry something in a pan. What really sold me was the spout. I always hated having to clean up a greasy bottle of olive oil and this spout makes it so convenient not only to get the perfect amount of olive oil onto whatever I'm doing, but it makes it so I don't have to wipe up the bottle every time I use it! It's super easy to put the lid back on because the pop up spout goes back inside the bottle with barely any effort. It makes me think that Cobram Estates actually cares about their customers; not only the customer's health, but also how the customer feels when they are using the bottle. The thin shape of the bottle makes it economical to use. My fingers aren't having to reach reach around a bulky shaped bottle. So I highly recommend this product and hope that Cobram Estates continues to make a quality, healthy olive oil.
