However, lately, Coach has been putting out must-have pieces, and the Brooklyn Shoulder Bag 39 is undoubtedly an "IT" bag. The buttery soft leather feels incredibly luxurious, and the spacious design is perfect for fitting everything I need—from my laptop to daily essentials—without feeling bulky. The sleek, modern design makes it versatile enough for both work and casual outings, while the sturdy shape keeps it looking polished. The magnetic snap closure is strong and secure, and I love the thoughtful details like the subtle logo. That said, this bag is quite large, so if you're not into oversized bags, you might want to consider the 23 or 28 models for a more compact option with the same chic look. I do wish it had feet to protect the bottom from wear, and it can feel a bit heavy when fully loaded. Also, an exterior pocket for quick access would be a nice touch. Despite these minor issues, the craftsmanship and style make it a worthwhile investment. I’ve received so many compliments already! I just ordered the Empire Carryall 35 in Brass/Maple—if it's as beautiful as the Brooklyn, Coach will definitely be back in my regular rotation! I'm a bag girl and this is everything! I love the big size as I tote around quite a bit of things, but the way it fits over your shoulder, the way it drapes, and is so lightweight, just exquisite. I have already bought one and have another one coming. First purchase was the suede and it is so unbelievably rich looking. My next is the the leather. I see me carrying these bags for a long time. I am absolutely in awe of this bag! My husband bought it for me for work and it is stunning. The loved leather gives it a truly unique character and the quality is top notch.. super buttery and soft. As someone who is 5'5" I find the strap length to be perfect for my frame. It easily fits my 15 in Dell laptop with room to spare for other essentials. Absolutely beautiful!!! Color is Merlot and it’s gorgeous!! Came in a gigantic box and very carefully packaged and protected. Also came with a satin Coach Dust bag. This purse is very large. You can put just about anything in it!

When I first got the Coach Brooklyn 39 I thought maybe it was too big for me. 5'2, but after I carried her, I think it's a perfect fit. Quality leather, slouchy, absolutely holds everything you would need and more, but of course could become heavy the more you carry. I use a very lightweight organizer I had purchased for my Coach large City Bucket bag and it keeps my items from just floating around my bag. Black is a color that will go with everything. I've read other reviews after a year reporting corner wear, but knowing Coach's quality leather I'm sure this will be a durable bag for me with maintenance by using some leather CPR to keep the leather moisturized and cleaned. I always love a sale, but purchased at full price and I think for bag size, quality leather, this is a great value for the money and a bag I'll always have in my collection. ... show more

Amazon is the problem. I received the wrong color and size of Coach (ordered suede received an older, white leather purse). Naturally I returned the purse, with a return receipt,and Amazon denied the return. I’m out $500. Hoping after multiple attempts that Amazon makes this right. Aside from this horrible merchant experience, Coach bags, especially this model are gorgeous and high quality. I did purchase something similar to this listing in Nov 2025 directly from Coach and love the bag. I’m writing the review to help buyers avoid buying high quality goods from Amazon. ... show more
