  • Best way to change flooring!
I ordered this flooring hoping for a good experience because it was the best price option for the color we were wanting. Even though they weren't Amazon prime without free returns, the company has been good to work with. I ordered 2 boxes for my bathroom. I laid it on ceramic tile after using a leveling compound to ensure the grid lines where the grout is wouldn't end up showing through after walking on them. It turned out great and has stuck great. It really looks high end. The gray color is nice and neutral. Not too warm or too cool. Looks good with white. Then, we decided to redo our kitchen floor and back door entryway. The problem here was that I ordered 5 boxes and only received 4. After some back and forth with the company, they agreed to ship another box to me for free; however, since they would arrive too late, I asked for a refund on that box, which they gave me. I'm under a time crunch because I'm just fixing my house so I can sell it. The floor was laid on linoleum and turned out really nice. It's really easy to cut with tin snips and can be picked up and replaced with relative ease (if you can access one edge). I did move my refrigerator across them to get behind it, and that caused a few tiles to move around and gap. That may have been a problem because I did not allow them to set.. I didn't have time to allow them to set, but it's understandable that they might shift a bit in the first hour after you lay them (it was probably only 15 minutes). I did use a roller to apply pressure to them after laying to try to secure the hold. Some pieces that came up due to an uneven floor or from the fridge, I just peeled up slightly and put liquid nails underneath and then held it down with a paint can, just to make sure they could stay down. They have arrows on the back of them, which really do make a difference. If you switch around the direction of the planks, you will be able to tell. I can't really identify what is different about them, but it seems like they reflect light differently from each angle, so some might appear lighter or flatter than another one next to it.. It doesn't look good, but I made some mistakes and left them that way because I figured a few pieces that look off would be OK, as it just adds a slight bit of variation. I filled in gaps that were created due to uneven floor/not square cabinets and walls with gray caulk, and that seemed to work well. ... show more

  • Beautiful, inexpensive flooring option
I ordered one box of these planks in the gray color, and it was the perfect amount to re-floor my tiny bathroom. I even had one and a half planks left over (which is good, because I am not happy with the way I cut one of the planks to fit around the lopsided curve that is the left side of my crappy doorway). I have NEVER done any sort of home improvement project like this before, so I didn’t know what to expect. Step one was removing the vinyl peel & stick tiles my husband had installed for me a few years ago. The tiles came up fairly easily, but that adhesive was a BEAR to remove! I tried Goo Gone, Goof Off, rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover…all it did was soften the adhesive up so that it smeared when I attempted to scrap it. Ugh. Finally, an application of Turpenoid got enough of it up that I felt confident to move on. I made a cleaning solution of baking soda, dish washing liquid and white vinegar, cleaned the floor with it, and started working with the planks. They are very thin, which makes them easy to cut, but I recommend using a straight edge and a really good utility knife with a new blade. Getting the shapes cut to go around the base of the toilet and those crooked, curvy edges to my doorway was not really so easy, but that’s not the fault of the planks. I think if I had a pair of nice, sturdy heavy-duty scissors, it would have been much easier. The planks laid easily and smoothly, and as long as I worked quickly, I could pull them up and re-place them as needed. I would say just make sure you have a few extra planks in case you manage to screw any of them up (as I did with a couple of pieces). I am very, very happy with the finished product! I will definitely get these again if I decide to re-floor any other areas of the house. ... show more

  • Good, inexpensive product. Big impact!
I purchased this item twice, for two separate rooms. The first bathroom, pictured, is holding up nicely. In the second bathroom, the adhesion is not holding. Im having to backtrack and apply liquid nails or gorilla glue to hold them down. They are both installed the exact same ceramic tile. Not sure the difference. I still very much like the tiles. Easy to cut and line up, easy to clean. I just wish I used the adhesive the first time around. Overall very happy with this inexpensive product, that has made a huge impact on our bathrooms!! Would recommend and purchase again! ... show more

  • Good Buy
First time ever installing floors. However it is very easy as long as you take your time. I started out with one pack for my kitchen to test out. Its pretty duarable so far. There are a couple of marks on some but it actually helps for a more natural look. Its pretty sticky but to make sure i did use tile adhensive which seems to hold them down a little better. *Update finally order my 2nd set im really takin my time for theres no rush to get this done on top i work 40 hrs weekly. My second set i order was actually better than the first one. For some reason it was hard to take the paper off the tiles on my first order but i figure that was normal. Takin off the adhensive on my 2nd order was so much easier like really just roll off. Im not sure if the 1st order went thru sun or heat during travel but yea. Wanted to say that. Overall good buy great to invest at an in exspensive price. ... show more

  • Minimal adhesive don’t buy extra
We had to purchase a separate vinyl adhesive to secure the flooring down because half the planks in the first shipment were missing the paper back so the adhesive was dry when we opened the box. We bought 3 extra boxes due to the faulty planks in the first shipment. In one box there were 11 planks missing the paperback. Thankfully we finished the project so we initiated the process to return two unopened boxes. Shortly after our refund was approved the seller messaged me to let me know that I would potentially be responsible for the shipping fee due to the product policy. If you purchase this product buy one box at a time and check all the planks beforehand. If the adhesive sucks I would return the product immediately, get your money back, and purchase something else. ... show more
