  • nice unit but its decieving
It looks like its a well made piece and it is but its just a delrin puck with a flat headed bolt in it milled to .750" tall +/- .001 thou. along with some standard 2 lead wire and an alligator clip. nothing especially fancy might be worth 8$ at best.

  • Nicely machined parts, poorly assembled
The plastic base is nicely weighted and the insert seems parallel to the base. Mine measured 19.25mm high. I had to shim it up to 20mm. The black wire was just stuck under the bolt and washer holding the aluminum insert. As usual the white wire was just pinched to the clip, not soldered. All-in-all, not bad for $8 and easily remedied. ... show more

  • Inexpensive option, but does the job.
Works well for me. A couple notes. Thicker projects might require a thinner plate or you may have to set Z from the machine bed. Z probes in general do not work with diamond tipped bits.

  • Works great to set your Z axis height
I like the size of the lower part, it's substantial and makes it easy to position it. I created a holder for it on the top of my Z axis as the weight is not significant. There is plenty of wire attached to the device to get back to your control board.

  • Great product
Works great on my Shapeoko at half the price. You just don’t have the little LED. Not a big deal.
