Dull out of the box. NOT 1 inch diameter cutting head!
This bit was duller with the very first pass out of the box than my 1 year old Freud bit that saw a ton of use. I wanted to use this to cut 1" wide dadoes 1/8" deep. Turns out the cutting diameter is 1.05" wide (measured with micrometer). This may not seem like a big difference, but 1/20" variance wh
en making tight dadoes is unworkable. Ruined my large project and left me mad and disappointed. Pony up for the Freud router bit and let this product/company go out of business.

The bit did very well. It arrived well packaged and very sharp. It is also well balanced when utilized on a makita router that is on my cnc. If had one complaint and its petty....the shaft is only 1.37 inches...which made me adjust my dust collection....not worthy of removing a star.

For the price this bit checks all the boxes. It is sharp and reliable. I am impressed with the quality and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a surfacing bit.

This is a great bit for clearing large surfaces. Cuts clean and smooth. Would definitely purchase again.

Buy something better quality
Was hoping this would be better than using a 1/4" bit to flatten my spoilboard and small slabs bit it was horrible. My machine is dialed in and level and trammed. I took extremely conservative passes and this bit left lines all over my board. After closer inspection I found this bit to not be very co
nsistent from blade to blade in the depth it cut, leaving the lines on the board. I switched back to my worn out Whiteside surfacing bit and it still cut better than this. Guess this is my lesson to stick with quality bits from a quality company.
