  • Great bit for the price
I flattened a large white oak slab cookie with this bit. The one I used before was $80 and worked fine but got dull quickly. I tried this one out for a fraction of the price and it actually performed better! Clean cuts and still sharp against that hard oak is pretty impressive!

  • Nice router bit
Cut epoxy and wood well, with no chipout for either material.

  • Works well
Used this for slab White Oak. Eats through wood. Take a small skim cut and take your time. Get your RPM right wiht the router. Leaves the surface smooth and ready for a planner cut.

  • Just as good as higher priced bits
Used for flattening live edge oak slabs on a router sled. I bought several of these bits and also a couple of bits from another company that were 4x more expensive. I found all the bits had similar cut quality and lasted about the same amount of time (no point buying the more expensive bits). I also tried the 3 blade bit but found the cut quality wasnt as good as the 4 blade bit. Very happy with these bits ... show more

  • This router bit works well.
I have used this bit for flattening very rough hybrid poplar. The bit works great on this extremely soft material. I can't say how it functions on something like white oak. You will have to try things for yourself. I would rate this inexpensive Chinese made bit highly--it has worked great for me.

  • Blades have a slight angle
The blades aren’t perfectly flat so I get swirl marks.

  • Good value, requires regular sharpening.
I got this for surfacing slabs and end-grain cutting boards with a router sled. It spins true with no vibration and works well, but dulls very quickly with end grain maple. Fortunately the carbide cutters are quite thick, and I just touch them up with a few strokes from a small diamond hone between cutting boards... takes about 10 minutes. If you don’t plan to spend the time to sharpen it, you’ll probably be disappointed. This works fine for hobby use, but does not hold an edge long enough between sharpenings for production work on hardwood. ... show more
