  • Great version!
My wife and I have enjoyed this. Great for any fan of the show.

  • You pay for the golden girls name on this game. Thats it.
Thought this would be a fun game for a family member who is a total goldn girls fan. Firstly, I have played clue for over 40 years, and this is the first I've learned that there is an "alternative" clue game, and this is, NOT the original as you know it. So we had to actually read directions as to how to play to learn the difference. Secondly, although it seemed fun to read that the pieces were "sophias purse" and such, it was pretty mocked up to "fill in" the game--real show fans grate at the discrepencies. For instance, the 'front yard' was a scenario. Of course, the girls had a front yard; however, NOTHING ever transpired there as the only scenes in this yard were shown to be the brick wall covered with bourganvilla---so this was a pretty lame scenario site! And the character pieces were totally crappy. The girls were photographs-bad ones, our Dorothy piece had her face so close to the edge it was barely all there. The other pieces were not photographs of characters, but crappy paintings that didn't even at all resemble the characters! My piece was "stan" and I constantly had to pick it up to check if it was my piece or another as it didn't resemble Stan at all. The idea was fun, and you could kinda play it, but would recommend a pass to anyone buying this thing. It was crappily put together without much thought to authenticity to the show OR the game of clue at all, and in the end wasn't much fun or easy to play as it seemed from reading the box. ... show more

  • Cute twist on a classic board game, Golden Girls fans will get a big kick out of it
Early on there was some confusion with the shipping date, and I agree with some of the other commenters that the instructions need more detail, but overall this is an adorable twist on the ol' Cluedo game we know and love. If you are a fan of the Golden Girls, you will be delighted with this. It's cute that the premise is to find out "who ate the cheesecake?" rather than "who/what/where did the murder happen?", but when we play we find it impossible not to fall back into accusing each other of murder. (Weirdly, the first three games we played, Rose was the murderer EVERY TIME.) The box it came in does not seem to be designed for this game, which was a little confusing. There are lots of slots which seem to be totally unrelated to the game pieces, but I assume this was just repurposed from something else to save money on production. It doesn't affect the game at all. Otherwise all the design details are GREAT, everything is covered in palm fronds and pastels including all the cards and your little crib sheet to keep up with the cheesecake eater/murderer. It's so fun to look at all the little details of the rooms on the game board, like the playing cards on Sophia's dresser, Blanche's nightie thrown haphazardly on her bed, everything with roses on it in Rose's bedroom, and how the secret passageway from Dorothy's bedroom goes to... the garage!? (Poor Dorothy!) But my favorite detail has to be the window in the bathroom, which inexplicably faces towards the *inside* of the house, haha! We've had a lot of fun playing this, and I'm planning a "come as your favorite Golden Girl" board game night soon! Dibs on Sofia!! ... show more

  • Help! I’m missing 2 pieces!
Love the game, but it’s missing the purse and the shoe tokens! I bought it as a gift for my daughter, and since the return window closed before she opened it, I’m now having trouble figuring out how to contact someone to remedy the situation. These games aren’t cheap, and I don’t want to have to order and pay for a second one. I hope someone in customer service reads this and can help me! ... show more

  • Fun time with the Girls
This game is a great time with a small group of friends fond of the Girls. It was a nice throwback to the Clue I grew up with, but with slight variations (like with the distraction cards). It’s a great game for nostalgia and everyone gets a kick out of it when we break it out. It’s a little expensive for what you get, especially since the plastic insert in the box is the same for Monopoly so it’s clearly a very mass produced game on which I wouldn’t stick a “quality” label. But, it’s a fun time with friends and a great throwback. ... show more

  • Worth the purchase for any GG fan!
AMAZING!! So much fun to play. How hard is it to play a game of CLUE? Like seriously, not understanding the complaints about the game directions. After playing CLUE for 30 plus years, it was so much fun to play this version. Friends who can quote the GG episodes have so much fun playing and we always have a Golden Girls DVD playing in the background.Wish Miles and Stan had their images on the game pieces, other than than it's a riot!! Also very glad I waited for Amazon to have it for purchase instead of paying double the amount from an outside vendor. Worth $30 for sure but def. not much more than that! With the money you save you can go and buy cheesecake! ... show more

  • Great game
Great fun! I watched this video v with my mom on Friday nights as a child. It never gets the old. The Golden Girls are my favorite TV series. The only thing I don't like is that the cards and character pieces for Stan, Sophia and Miles are drawn and not actual photos. This was disappointing as I feel they did not do the characters or actors justice. Only reason for 4 stars. ... show more
