There are soooooo many leather backpacks to choose. I spent a lot of time carefully reading the manufacturer’s descriptions and the reviews, matching measurements to my laptop, etc. I spent a lot of time at this. I eventually ordered 5 backpacks in total to ultimately make my decision. I vetted each one, checking zippers, fasteners, straps, hardware, linings- everything. I quickly settled on this one. As a final test I packed it as I would for business use ( laptop, notebook, chargers, wallet, etc). Then a second packing test as a travel carryon with the addition of a jacket, umbrella, makeup bag. I still had room to spare. I honestly can’t understand the critical reviews that included the suggestion that this is not real leather ( it most certainly is) or that zippers are bad, or stitching and lining issues. I put this through all it’s paces and it gets 5 stars all around. I suppose every now and again a bag will slip through that has some flaws or fails. I have to believe the seller would make good in that instance because this bag is top notch, well designed and functional. If there was intention to put out a sub par product I’d see some indication of that. I just don’t. It’s everything and more than I expected. ... show more

I was looking for a backpack style purse that was also somewhat elegant. This purse is that and more. There are plenty of storage compartments, and it will be a great purse for travel as it can handle my notebook, as well as many personal items.

I’ve been using this backpack about 2.5 years every work day and it’s gone on many trips and I’m not gentle with it. It still looks looks new and is just a perfect professional backpack. Lots of pockets for storage, slim profile, durable, the straps are really comfortable - all the things. Highly recommend! I’m really disappointed because this bag functionally has everything I want in a bag (which is a lot) however it is NOT genuine leather. I’ve had enough bags in the past to know fake leather just doesn’t hold up over time so for me, genuine leather is a must. This bag fails every genuine leather test. Pebbling test - has a grainy surface made of pores; each piece is as unique as the animal it came from. Sharma says “real leather is more imperfect, with random grain patterns. Fake leather will have very regular, even, and similarly patterned grains touch test- real leather will feel slightly warm when rubbing your fingers into the fabric. This bag is cold to the touch. smell test - real leather has a distinctive earthy smell even after years of use. This bag smells like chemicals the seams test - real leather is a fibrous material, which naturally frays around the edges when it's cut. This can be seen and felt. While fake leather will have perfectly clean/cut and seams no fibrous texture across the exposed edge. stretch test - real leather has stretch, is flexible and bends easily. Fake leather is much more ridge, inflexible and does not bend easily Absorption test - real leather is porous and will absorb a tiny drop of liquid in just a few seconds. Fake leather is plastic and water will simply puddle up and remain on the surface. Typically genuine leather bags come with some sort of care instructions or labeling that explicitly states genuine leather. If the label doesn't say anything at all, chances are the manufacturer wants to conceal the fact that it isn't real leather ... show more

This bag is not leather. It seems to be a type of neoprene with a matte/satin finish. I'm not sure if I will keep it and use it. Neoprene can be very durable, and it's good looking bag, but it is NOT leather. The description is misleading.

I just received this back pack. I brought this mostly to fit my 14.6 tablet and small keyboard and a few other things for light travel, work and church. My analysis of the bag: Pros: Nice multi-colored combo. Alot of deep space and pockets Lightly padded straps (could be better). Lining beautiful inside. Light travel more business or casual travel. Cons: Too expensive Concerned color off-white could get stained or dirty quickly. Zippers are not good. If not careful, could get caught in inside lining. Does not stand up well if heavily pack. Cannot stuff alot of things get heavy and add weight to back and shoulders. Kind of defeats the extra pockets space. The back pack it reaches to my butt even when straps are pulled tighter. Definitely not a back pack for long travel. No insurance. Welts in the front part snap pockets if you put to much things + snaps will release. Overall, It's a beautiful back 😍 pack to stare at and for show, but I do not see this to be long lasting base on material and color. I go through backpacks like crazy due to using them all the time and they subsequently breakdown and tear. So needed something more long lasting for semi-daily use while I travel but also sophisticated enough I can take to work, and this fit the bill! Honestly the product photos don’t do it justice, the level of detail, craft, and high quality material that went into this is totally worth every penny! Haven’t used it yet but I can tell this will withstand for a WHILE, plus it comes with a code tag, leather swatch, and a dust bag (which is super convenient). I was worried there wouldn’t be enough room to carry more bulky items but it actually holds quite a lot, which is awesome when traveling long distance.
