Bought this looking for a way to store my vinyl LP collection. All parts were included with no damage. Assembly took about an hour by myself, in no rush. So far it has held up great. I have all three top shelves loaded with records and have plenty of room for underneath. I can easily fit a record player and a couple other things on the very top of the cabinet. I had several blemishes on the finish. It looked like they painted the blemishes from the factory. I built the first one (I ordered 4) and left it on the covered carport for a couple of weeks. The bottom swelled. The paint came off from the bottom. Theses are not durable for any time left outside even covered and out of the weather. One of them out of the four will not lock properly and is kind of shaky. I installed the back cardboard piece and it firmed it up some but it is not sturdy like the other 3. The size is great. Putting together is not that hard. There are no ikeas local to me and shipping was extremely expensive for that brand so I decided to try these. They do stack good. They are flush when stacked. I do not recommend for outside use even for short amount of time. As in, don't put them together outside and then bring them inside. It will ruin them. The finish is extremely easy to scratch so be mindful of that. Also never let any liquid in contact with them. Such as wry Mop or drinks on top. This is particle board so the wood will swell and separate. As far as size, they are perfect. I have four that will be side by side and 2 on top. I can hide the defective part on the one that was outside under the carport for 2 weeks. I also purchased the expensive box Liner fold outs and they fit perfectly and will also prevent seeing any of the defects. Overall it is a decent product I just wish they were more durable. I purchased the white ones. The two in the picture are the ones that I built inside the house. They were not exposed to outside. There were slight flaws, such as paint touch ups done from the factory. But overall they will serve the intended purpose of creating more storage and helping me to be organized. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It’s MDF… yeah. But I glued all the dowels and shelves, and followed the directions, and it went together quickly and ended up solid with no shaking or wobbling that I read in other reviews as a possible problem. I even put my turntable on top and no harmonic feed back or anything. A nice enough product especially at this price point. Perfect size for my albums, which I used to have scattered all over in Apple boxes, card board boxes and even some free roaming in the floor under a book shelf. I bought 2 of the 6 cube units for my “man cave” and they’ll straighten up the albums nicely. I’d recommend IF you assemble carefully and follow assembly instructions- (gluing really help MDF too!) ... show more

I am recommending you don't purchase this cubby cabinet for anything that is going to have to hold some weight. This unit was installed on January 28th, and today, it collapsed on the floor. Fortunately, I have carpet, and the POS wasn't facing anything breakable, so no major damage, except to this POS itself. Here are the facts: My brother, who is a life-long cabinet maker by trade (ret.), assembled and hung this rig up on my bedroom wall. He used glue during construction as recommended by many other reviewers here, and for the bedroom installation, he used four bolts into two studs, and also utilized two L brackets to shore up the bottom, as well as two brackets at the top. The next day (Jan. 29th), I filled up this cabinet with LPs (it was about 85% full when i finished) that I've had laying around in boxes for years. Initially, I was very happy, the cabinet looked decent enough, and I started playing vinyl again almost daily, now that I didn't have to look for anything in a box. Alas, my joy was not to last. The cabinet collapsed on Feb. 9th in the early afternoon. So there are a lot of questions as to how this happened; maybe some of you will presume that my brother screwed up; you would be wrong. Examination of the broken strut pieces clearly shows that the cheap cardboard particle board (the filler they use in the center looks like grass and twigs; see accompanying image) is the culprit; it simply collapsed from the inside out. Now the question is: will Amazon refund my money? They say they are going to after they get the return, but when they see the pile of junk I'm about to send through the mail, will they follow through? They should, as under ordinary circumstances, I would be filing a pro se lawsuit against the manufacturer, as they do not provide any guidance as to what this POS can reasonably accommodate weight-wise. I was not negligent in either the construction or the installation, and I deserve far more than a replacement (which is what amazon informed me they offered as recompense; why would I do that and just have it fall apart again?) I will update this review to let you know one way of another; but for now, you should forget about buying this disaster-waiting-to-happen. DO NOT BUY THIS CABINET IT IS DANGEROUS. UPDATE, Feb. 11: I haggled with the amazon rep on the phone for a bit, and we agreed on a 50% refund; I could probably get more if I bothered to send the trash through UPS, but I've got more important things to do with my time. BTW, the young woman I chatted with had a similar experience with this product, so she was fortunately sympathetic; I originally asked for 70% refund, but her superior refused that. ... show more
