Like others mentioned, the male clasp is fastened on, not looped on, which is something I didn't realize until I noticed the male part was detached from the strap. I saw a woman pop hers open in NYC and I was immediately intrigued. Love my usual helmet but man, would LOVE to save space. Spoke to two other cyclists and they totally recommended, and said the cost was worth it! So as soon as I saw any discount I made my move! I was right on the boarder between M and L. Ended up going with M as it’s a better snug bit. Works REALLY great…I feel safe. It’s VERY light. I added some reflective tape from harbor freight on the back and I’m good to go. Bought this in October 2021. Used it daily for my commute to work. Love how it collapses and makes it easy for the city commute when I'm on the subway. This morning, 14 months into regular use through rain, snow, humid summer, and regular fall/spring weather, the clasps in the back side that pop the middle of the helmet up broke. I thought maybe the helmet would be under warranty, but alas, can't figure out how to file for a replacement or repair. Not sure how it broke - normal wear and tear? I pop it open and close it maybe 2-4 times a day, 6 days a week? I was tempted to switch to a Fend for my 2nd helmet, because I wanted something that folded a little smaller, but Closca still measures as more lightweight and more affordable. ... show more

One of the chin strap fasteners came loose and fell off the strap in less than 10 uses. The Closca website makes it impossible to contact them if you didn't buy directly from them (i bought through Amazon) even though the product is still under warranty. so its practically useless even though it is an expensive product that i hardly used. ... show more

    • Great Helmet ... But Lasted for 5 Months

Loved this helmet, while it worked. I bought it in early November of 2022, but the folding mechanism broke down come late March 2023. One of the plastic folding supports just randomly broke while I was unfolding it for my commute to work - no prior falls, collisions, or drops. Just randomly popped. While it functioned, it was very comfortable, stylish, and convenient. When not in use or just walking around the city, I could easily collapse it and throw it into my backpack and not have to carry around a bulky bucket helmet. It was great! Until it broke. I am giving it two stars as it was a stellar helmet for five solid months. I am writing this review now as I am in the market for a new helmet. I have been riding my daily commute without a helmet for the past seven months; family, friends, and colleagues have pleaded for me to buy a new helmet, so I figured I'd step back to write a review on this one (before you beat me down, yes, I know, I have done myself a great disservice and death-wish for not wearing a helmet for so long. I fully recognize that). Ultimately: I recommend this helmet for light use. For your daily commute? As tempting as the convenience factor is, I'm afraid the propensity for this to break down again is high. -- Can provide pictures if interested. I haven't had the heart to throw it away so it's just hanging on the coat rack, reminding me that I should be protecting myself while riding. ... show more

I don’t bike without my helmet. Wait, I lied. I usually don’t bike without my helmet. And they are so clunky. This one folds up. I mean, not to a tiny side, but it folds into itself. And I was able to secure lights to it as well. Long story, even longer, I did one of those donation things for a foldable helmet. I have yet to receive the F’ing thing. I get updates. But where the f’ is the damn thing? So, I broke down and bought this one. I didn’t have to wait YEARS and when I wear it, I feel like Devo. Which is a plus, in my book. BTW the other invisible helmet I never received is a place with grass where you play and the stone in a wedding ring. They SUCK! ... show more
