  • Good book for K
Format: Paperback
This is a great book for teaching counting! The kids were so invested while I was reading and it lead to such great discussion!

  • Great for any kid obsessed with clocks
Format: Paperback
My 18-month-old grandson is obsessed with clocks, so I was searching for a book with lots of clock pictures vs. one that teaches how to tell time. This book fit the bill--every page has numerous pictures of clocks, and we spend hours reading it. In fact, he wore it out so I need to get another one.

This book is a huge hit for our two young learners. Great for age 3 to 6 or maybe 7 year olds. Cute engaging story.

  • For grandson who loves clocks
Format: Paperback
I ordered this book because my 18 month old grandson loves clocks. He really likes this book and wants me to read it all the time. It's a simple story but my grandson enjoys it especially because there's a clock on every page.

  • Ahead of Its Time.
Format: Paperback
Read the wacky adventures of Mr. Higgins, a man who cannot make his clocks keep time no matter how frequently he runs up and down the stairs to test them. The story is very simple and has a repetitive quality which will appeal to a reader who likes prediction of an outcome. I bought this book because my autistic son is obsessed with clocks, calendars and measures of time. He also hates to read. Finding a book that spoke to his interests was much more useful than any books with morals and villains and heroes have been. Clocks and More Clocks provides a mathematical riddle inherent in the story of why your clocks change time from room to room and the plot resolves itself nicely when a clock maker comes and saves the day by providing an explanation. The only reason I did not give the book a five-star rating is because the artwork, though detailed and clever, is less colorful than I would expect for a children's book aimed at a younger audience. I was also surprised to see it had been written in 1994 when I was expecting it to be from the early 70's based on the design and colors used. Otherwise, I highly recommend this for young readers, and particularly readers who like clocks, time and mathematics interwoven into their story lines. ... show more

  • Great illustration that time does not stand still even for a minute
Format: Paperback
My son is fascinated by clocks and has definitely picked up on telling time, but this story is a great way to show that time does not stand still. We discussed how we have clocks in many rooms too, but not as beautiful and ornate as in this story.
