This has quickly become one of our favorite bedtime books. The story is simple, fun, and has a nice rhythm that makes it enjoyable to read aloud. My toddler stays engaged from beginning to end and even tries to "read" along with some of the repeated phrases. The illustrations are bright, colorful, and full of funny little details that keep kids interested. The sturdy board book pages are perfect for little hands and have held up well to being read over and over. It's just the right length for winding down before bed without feeling too long. I also love that it helps establish a bedtime routine in a fun and playful way. It's one of those books that both kids and parents enjoy reading together. Overall, this is a sweet classic that has earned a permanent spot in our bedtime rotation, and I would definitely recommend it.

The Going to Bed Book by Sandra Boynton is such a cute little bedtime read! The silly animals, adorable illustrations, and fun rhymes keep little ones entertained while still winding them down for the night. 🥹💤 It’s short enough to hold a toddler’s attention which is basically a miracle 😂 and it’s one of those books you won’t mind reading for the 947th time when they inevitably say, “AGAIN!” Sweet, silly, and perfect for snuggles before bed. My grandsons had this book and I loved reading it to them. I recently bought it for my 3 year old niece. The first time I gave it to her she asked me to read it SEVEN TIMES in a row. She picked up on several of the little details in the illustrations and pointed them out to me as we read through the pages.

This is my favorite bedtime book for toddlers. I buy it for shower gifts. I buy it for my grandchildren. I read it to my own so many times. Sandra Boynton makes reading to kids fun as it should be. Do not be deceived. This is not just fun. Her rhyming skills are excellent. Her books are your children's introduction to poetry. Please read to your kids. Nothing is more helpful for them learning to read. And read to them because it creates good memories. :)

I bought this book for my son because he’s two years old and about to turn three, and I wanted something simple that could help him learn while also keeping his attention. It has worked very well for us. The pictures are colorful, the story is easy for him to follow, and it gives us something educational to read together before bed. It’s a nice way to help with words, listening, and building a regular reading routine. Overall, it’s a good little book for toddlers and has been a great addition to his bedtime routine.

Before I purchased this book, I read a bunch of the reviews. Some people complained about why the animals bathed together and why they exercised before bed. Ummm.... Let's see...if I continue that thinking, why would someone eat green eggs and ham? lol Not all kids' books need to make sense for them to be a hit. Why are the animals in this book on a boat (or is it an ark?)? Who knows? Does it matter to me? Nope! This is just a cute, silly book. My two-year-old loves it! He makes me read it over and over (I usually stop at 3 times). Even when he's cranky and doesn't want to comply with getting ready for bed, once I start reading it, he's hooked. I have no idea why, other than the fact that it's silly and it has cute illustrations. And because he gets hooked so quickly once I start to read it - it's a winner! It's just what I was looking for! A few other notes... I still love board books because my two-year-old gets a little crazy sometimes and has occasionally torn a page in a paper book. So the fact that this is a board book is a plus in my book. Something kinda weird - this book arrived smelling of some really odd perfumy scent. I'm very sensitive to perfumes, so I was a little annoyed by that, but it's wearing off relatively quickly. I'm sure the scent will be gone after about 2-3 weeks. Seller - if you are reading this, can you lay off the perfumy scents? Thanks! :)
