Edit: taking away a star because this thing really doesn't hold humidity. Keep a close eye and monitor humidity levels often and be ready to add water, like multiple times a day often. My eggs do seem to be developing and the candler is a handy feature for tracking growth. We'll see how many hatch. My eggs haven't arrived yet but I've gotten everything out of the box and set up, the temperature gauge and humidity gauge are easy enough to figure out. Setup was crazy simple. If its your first time hatching get one with egg turner. This one works great but have to remember to turn the eggs. I hatched 3 out of 6, but 3 weren't fertilized. So it it very well. Egg candle worked great!

So far so good. I’m very excited. Can’t wait to see the babies. Great for teaching kids. I love the learning/teaching manual that comes with out. Learned a lot. Update: definitely don’t recommend for new beginners. Invest into a more expensive one where chicks have more room. If you buy this I wouldnt put more then 4 eggs at a time. Also its very hard to maintain humidity. Which is VERY important. ... show more

The incubator is not well insulated and the humidity is challenging to work with. I could not get my humidity to get higher than 40%. Edit: I did successfully hatch 5/8 fertilized eggs using this.

The most important thing, the fan, quit on day 8 or 9, no hatch. The unit is sealed quite well. I had expensive eggs. And lost them all.

The media could not be loaded. We just hatched 5 out of 6 eggs in this incubator. Read multiple tips online, as well as the manufacturer’s recommendations for settings. Never expected such a great hatch rate!! Useful tip: I placed the incubator inside of a large clear plastic bin with a lid during incubation. The idea was to create an air bubble around the incubator for insulation purposes. It seemed to make a difference with regulating the humidity. Lid off: lower humidity. Lid on: higher humidity. Lid cracked: you get the picture. This allowed me to keep adjusting easily to keep the humidity correct during incubation… as regulating humidity with cheaper incubators appears to be an issue. ... show more

Ok so first timer here. Technically the incubator did what it needed to but let me tell you how stressed I’ve been because of the tiny space and the large holes in the bottom. I keep thinking they are going to get their heads stuck in a hole and drown or they are going to hurt themselves because they have no room. They are crazy little monsters in there when they hatch and I can’t sleep because of this incubator! ... show more
