I purchased these to use for rappelling and they worked quite nicely. They are supple enough to maintain enough dexterity to tie a knot and sturdy enough to not give yourself rope burn if you happen to weigh 240# and are controlling your descent down a rope. Some reviews stated that their hands were discolored (from the dye?) after use. I didn't notice that, although when I first used them it was a damp day overall. The eyelet in the wrist area is a nice touch to attach them securely to a carabiner for storage. I'd trust these to protect my skin, even at my weight, when working with rope and I'd definitely recommend them.

I purchased pair off this gloves. For what I use them I can't say nothing but good things. I was looking for climing gloves but not winter or snow resistant. I climbed angels landing and few other mountains. I really like this one. My wife uses samo brand and she is very pleased. It fits perfect and I used the chart that website provides, it has good and solid grip when holding on something. I would buy it again.

Very comfortable glove. Even works with your phone touchscreen! It is not super-warm, might keep your hands 10 degrees over the outside, but that's more than enough in most cases. It is not a snow or a rain glove. If you get this glove wet it will deform, smell and will take a while to dry. Also if you have sweaty palms it might have the same effect and stain your hands. This is the reason I took 1 star off. Other than that the glove is great, seems sturdy, easy to pull on and off and will protect you from most scratches and dirt. Use it for: Morning strolls, hikes, mountain climbing, bike rides, small jobs at home Do NOT use for: Skiing, garden work, heavy construction

Bought these to go to Cumberland Caverns and they did the job well. We climbed around in the caves for 3 plus hours and these did well. Had to wash them well to get all of the clay off and they wear just as well after that. These are durable and not too bulky in your palm which a lot of gloves I tried before were.

I work at an outdoor ropes course. I belay participants using a gri-gri. I prefer the full finger gloves because the rope rubs across the thumb and top of the fingers. The mesh back allows flexibility. The black leather palm provides adequate strength and protection from rope burn, but is hot and leaves a black dye stain on my hands. The stain may disappear after continuous use. The leather is also soft and smooth and makes it harder to pull the rope through the gri-gri. The gloves might work better with a rough leather palm and the normal cowhide, which shouldn’t leave your hands stained.

I bought these gloves to train bear crawls down rocky surfaces. They also have several features that would make them ideal for rock climbing, with a gap to run the climbing rope through the glove. They withstand wear and tear well, though they shift a bit as the size does not match my hand perfectly. They also feel secure as I am wearing them. I would recommend these gloves for a variety of purposes that require tough protections for your hands.
