  • Great readers and always accessible
Color: Black Magnification Strength: 1.75 x
I've been buying the Clic readers for a few years now ever since a friend turned me on to them. I'm past the denial phase and I know that readers are necessary. Instead of placing them all over the place I put them on in the morning and take them off at night. Very handy

Works perfectly, great quality! My boyfriend loves them, now he doesn’t have to look for his readers.

  • Always there!
My husband LOVES these readers!. He doesn't like to push the glasses on top of his head so this was a terrific alternative! they are sturdy and the stem part is adjustable. magnets are strong.

  • Need two hands to put them on, but they don't get lost and they are ALWAYS with you!
Color: Tortoise Magnification Strength: 2 Diopters
* UPDATE * After six+ months of daily, all-day use These glasses continue to keep going strong. I have never lost them -- they are around my neck every waking hour, except when I hang them over the shower door. I have never even thought about going back to other types of glasses, which I lost or misplaced constantly. If it weren't for the fact that I always need to use both hands hands to move the CliCs from my neck to my eyes, I would give them a perfect 5 stars out of 5. I bought a second pair just in case I ever lose or break these these, and I bought those at a slightly higher strength All of my original pros and cons apply, but I will add a couple of more: New Pros to add to the Pros list below: * I literally am never without my glasses now. I never experience those frustrating moments I used to have where I need to read something but don't have readers with me. * (Could be a con if you hate talking to strangers) Numerous curious individuals have asked me about these glasses when I click them into place or when I unclick them and move them down to my neck. I'm not a small-talker, generally, but for some reason I don't mind this at all. It is usually asked by curious teens or 20-somethings, always with a pleasant inquisitive tone, and almost always is a simple variation of the question "what did you just do with your glasses?". It's probably only happened about 15 times over six months, so it's not an everyday occurrence if you are concerned about it. * On the very few occasions where I have laid these down in the house instead of wearing them, they were MUCH easier to find than standard glasses because they can't lay flat on a table, bed, etc -- they sit up on a surface just like the product picture shows, sticking up an inch or so. * Not really a Pro, but a counterpoint to one of my original Cons -- I have found a way to remove them (move them from eyes to just hanging around my neck) with one hand. It involves reaching aver my head and using my thumb and middle finger to spread the glasses apart from behind -- that is enough to unsnap the magnets and pops them off of my ears so that they settle around my neck. It takes a little practice to pull this off cleanly, but once you get it, it works every time. [ I should let you know that I have large hands so YMMV ] New Cons to add to the Cons list below: * If you sport a beard, even a short cropped one like mine, a few beard hairs may occasionally get caught and momentarily pinched between the magnets if you have them snapped around your neck when you are facing your head down. This happens to me when I enter my car (I'm pretty tall so I press my chin down toward my chest when I enter/exit a car to keep from banging my head). Its a minor pinch, but annoying. You can clear it immediately by running your finger along the bottom of your chin, separating the glasses from your beard. You can avoid this altogether by just leaving the glasses hanging open when they are hanging around your neck. However, because they are magnetic, they occasionally will find a way to latch themselves when you leave them hanging. * Original review follows * I have used mine for about a week now in place of several pairs of cheap reading glasses that I always absent-mindedly left who-knows-where. I tried using the cords and strings that attach to regular glasses so they hung from my neck, but they would get tangled in the seatbelt shoulder straps or my camera bag (I'm into photography). These magnetic readers hang higher around your neck and out of the way. I have a large cranium and have the glasses extended all the way and the barely fit but they do fit. They strain a bit if I tilt my head to look up, but they stay on and secure. In comparison to regular readers: Pros: ** They are easy to have on you all the time. ** They fit well and securely, at least for me. ** They never slide off of your eyes like some cheapo readers do when you are looking down and/or moving around. ** They don't get tangled in seatbelts or things that you are carrying over your shoulder like regular glasses do when you are hanging them from cords around your neck. ** They have no nose bridge pads to get bent and break. ** They have no ear-legs to break off, bend, or adjust constantly. ** I have stopped using all my other glasses as I have been good about remembering to keep wearing these. ** You won't ever poke your eye out while trying to put the glasses on with one hand. ** You are making a clear statement to the rest of the world that you are not a slave to fashion. ** They seem to be optically on par with the better quality reading glasses (and I have had quite a spectrum of both good and bad ones), but I can't claim to have run lab tests or anything. Cons: ** They take two hands to move from your neck to your eyes. ** They take two hands to move from your eyes to your neck (trust me, I tried it one-handed and it's quite awkward). [Note -- see update section above -- I have found a way to do this with one hand now] ** They cost more. ** Others think you look like a space cadet. ** You think you look like a space cadet. ** ... and not in a good way. ... show more

  • Almost got there
Color: Clear Magnification Strength: 2.5 x
Nice looking, magnet strong holds well, easy to take on and off I needed a little adjustment on the arms (lengthen) so that was another good feature, got the clear frames so I don't feel boxed in looking out of them. The main problem I have is the nose bridge, I compared the width to a pair of glasses I love that fit some comfortable to the Clic readers and found the spaceing is actually the same but the where I find them profoundly different is the part called the "saddle Bridge", the part potruding part of the frame on each side of the bridge area that rests on the nose. It begins at the very top of the bridge and is much larger than my other glasses about twice the size making them uncomfortable pressing on my nose. I littlerly have to push them down on my nose like i'm wearing granny style glasses. I found another Clic that has a larger width to the bridge but the frames are a half inch wider too. I'm not sure that will work either, but I'm going to give them a try and send back it this time if that is not going to work either. ... show more
