Features

  • A.I. Shaping and Face HiBore XL features an innovative A.I. designassisted chassis purpose built for enhanced forgiveness and sound at impact. And one of the largest ball striking areas in the industry helps amateur golfers hit for distance while keeping more tee shots in play.
  • MainFrame XL This variable thickness face pattern maximizes flex at impact to enlarge and reshape the sweet spot. This setup improves energy transfer across the face by repositioning weight low and deep in the clubhead for added forgiveness, consistency, and ball speed, even on strikes that miss the center.
  • ACTIVWING The unique airfoil design stabilizes the clubhead by harnessing aerodynamic forces to better stabilize the clubhead during your downswing and guiding the clubface into optimal strike position, making it easier for you to hit the sweet spot and improve ball speed.
  • New Adjustability Options HiBore XL includes a 12g adjustable weight located on the rear of the club giving you the flexibility to change the clubs swing weight to your personal preference (additional weights sold separately). Additionally, the HiBore XL is built with Clevelands new 1.5 degree adjustable hosel sleeve giving you even more options for fine-tuning your Drivers loft, face, and lie angles.

  • This is a great driver for the price point
Hand Orientation: Right Shaft Material: Graphite Flex: Stiff Loft: 10.5 Degrees
So, when I got it. Couldn't break it in, rained everyday until my T-time. So 10am there I am first tee, par 5. I pull this new bad boy out and with 20 guys staring at me waiting for their turn, nerves were a little high. But I cracked it and the ball, I didn't even feel it just a smooth buttery feel when I made contact and the ball just kept going straight as a rocket, little right but I think thats where I was aiming, but I just stood there in awe, the next hole 3 par 4. Pulled it out, beginners luck...nope straight down the fairway 140 to the hole. I was very happy with this driver I held it like where has this been all my life. I've had 500 dollar Calloway drivers and yeah when you hit them right, they're great. But this was just firing on all cylinders and any bad shot was my own doing, one bad shot was because I came around on it and had the club head open. Hey 1 out of 15 holes wasn't bad. Still found that ball to make a reasonable par only to miss a makeable 8 footer. ... show more

  • Cleveland HiBore XL Driver Review: How Did I Not Know About This Driver?
Hand Orientation: Right Shaft Material: Graphite Flex: Stiff Loft: 9 Degrees
As a tournament golfer with a +1.8 handicap, I've hit just about every driver imaginable over the years. I love testing new equipment, and with a clubhead speed consistently over 120 mph, I typically play a 9-degree head with a stiff shaft. I drive the ball 310+ yards on a regular basis and hit around 80% of fairways, so I'm always skeptical when someone claims a driver is "longer and straighter." When I saw the Cleveland HiBore XL 9° with a stiff shaft listed for sale, curiosity got the best of me. The first ball I hit on the range absolutely exploded off the face. It carried over 330 yards and hit the back net. I immediately wrote it off as a fluke. Then I hit another. And another. And another. The results kept repeating themselves. The ball launched high, stayed on line, and seemed to carry forever. The feel is what really surprised me. Every centered strike felt crisp and powerful, but even the misses were impressive. My toe strikes turned into little baby fades rather than losing significant yardage or ending up in trouble. For a driver that's been discontinued, the forgiveness is remarkable. I also had a buddy test it. He's about a 35-handicap golfer who fights a pretty severe slice. To be clear, this driver is not a miracle slice cure, and anyone expecting that is going to be disappointed. What it did do was dramatically reduce the severity of his miss. Instead of massive banana slices into the next fairway, he was hitting playable fades that stayed in bounds. The real test came on the course. We both put the HiBore XL in play for a round. I ended up shooting 1-under par, and my buddy broke 90 for the first time in his life. Prior to this, he was gaming a Ping G430 with the weight set in the fade-bias position. I'm not claiming the club single-handedly caused those scores, but it absolutely helped both of us off the tee. What shocked me most is how well it stacked up against modern drivers. I've owned and tested enough drivers to know when something is special, and this one genuinely surprised me. It either matched or outdrove several of the more current drivers in my collection. Pros * Outstanding distance * Extremely forgiving on off-center strikes * Stable and straight ball flight * Helps reduce the severity of slices * Great feel and sound at impact * Performs competitively against many modern drivers Cons * Won't completely fix an over-the-top swing or slice * Discontinued and becoming harder to find * The HiBore shape isn't for everyone Final Thoughts I honestly don't know how this driver escaped my attention for so many years. The Cleveland HiBore XL 9° with a stiff shaft has become one of the biggest surprises I've ever found in golf equipment. For players with higher swing speeds like mine, it delivers a fantastic combination of distance, forgiveness, and accuracy. In fact, I'm actively looking to buy a few more before they completely disappear from the market. Bottom line: This driver is absolutely legit. No gimmicks, no hype. Just a ridiculously good driver that deserved a lot more attention than it got. If you find one, grab it while you still can. ... show more

  • Hits above it’s weight class
Hand Orientation: Right Shaft Material: Graphite Flex: Stiff Loft: 10.5 Degrees
This driver F@#$’s!!!! Yo, I am not good at golf, but I’m not bad either! If I do my part, this thing rips drives dead straight! I had my personal best drive with this club, 312 yards! Anyone who picks this thing up can rip with it. Amazing value for money! Try this thing out, you’ll love it! It’s such a weapon. Here’s why. I don’t hit my driver perfect every shot. You’re gonna notice that on your 1200 dollar driver. This thing doesn’t care! She’s always ready to have a good time. Thin, fat, toe, heel, doesn’t matter! just send it. Not a lot of drivers can do that for 400 bucks. ... show more

  • Great club, great look, great price, just not for me
Hand Orientation: Right Shaft Material: Graphite Flex: Stiff Loft: 10.5 Degrees
I loved the look of this driver and we very very hopeful. It did not help me at all ends up swing speed with the driver means everything. My buddy who I got into golf after I left it in the bag asked to try it. 5/6 drives in the fairway and gained some distance off his older driver. So if you have a slower swing speed this might be great for you. For the price you can not beat it! Its a great driver and for everyone who hit it that day they loved it. The club feels really solid makes a good sounds and even after 2 rounds of playing with it still looked brand new. Just was not for me. I would 100% say if you dont swing fast (like I do as a former baseball player) this driver for the price can not be beat. I hate that it wasnt for me but happy my buddy got a good deal lol I put a picture of my old driver head next to the new one for show of the sweet spot. ... show more

  • Money well spent!
Hand Orientation: Right Shaft Material: Graphite Flex: Stiff Loft: 10.5 Degrees
I purchased this on a prime day deal! At the performance delivered I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this at full price. I was coming from a lower end driver from 2019, this was a huge upgrade for my bag. Added about 15-25yrds from the first tee and it helped with a little slice I was dealing with. Highly recommend this driver for someone looking for a good deal. ... show more

  • Invested in a modern driver, was NOT disappointed!
Hand Orientation: Right Shaft Material: Graphite Flex: Stiff Loft: 9 Degrees
Was using a used 2013 Taylormade Rocket Ballz driver before it broke on a tee shot. I was aiming for the SIM 2 but made the decision to go with the HiBore. I would consistently slice but they really aren't kidding about how forgiving this driver is. Went from 240yd sliced shots to 275yd minimum bombs mostly sailing straight. The unique design is really growing on me and its fairly lightweight. Comes with the head cover but no tool, but you can get an affordable tool online. ... show more

Cleveland is underrated for sure. They aren’t usually quite built for me, but this driver is just simply better at golf than I am.
