I am using this hose for my Ehiem 2028 canister. Its great hose and at a great price. I originally ordered the wrong diameter. Instead of returning it, I just bought another one because it was so inexpensive. 5/8 is the correct size for my Ehiem canister. The hose isn't too soft. Great product. It does bend and kink a bit, but I use it for connecting quail water cups to a bucket, so that is fine. It was much easier to use than pvc pipe and plumber's glue. It is compatible with the half water cups that clip outside the cage.

Seems like good hose. Cant attest to the pressure capacity, but geez it stinks! Like a strong, toxic plastic smell. I'd be concerned using this for anything with living creatures. At a minimum, you'd need to thoroughly wash and flush it first.
