I am a professional aircraft mechanic and work in a hanger where we have multiple Airbus aircraft. The bag is great to keep all my basic tools needed so I can quickly grab the tools to perform most jobs. I may be working in an airplane or the other side of the hanger and it’s much easier to grab this bag rather than push my rollaway around. I made a minor modification to help it fit my toolbox draw. I had to lower the tool bag top handle by 1.5”. I just drilled out 6 rivets and drilled new holes and installed new bolts, washers and nuts to lower the handle. It now fits perfectly! This is my second CLC bag and I’m still using my first bag from 12+ years ago. I keep these bags stuffed with tools and they weigh a ton. The first foam grip wore off of my first bag years ago but it’s really not necessary anyways and I don’t miss it. This bag is huge and I wouldn’t want it any larger or it would need wheels to move around given all the tools I keep in it. The material is heavy duty but don’t make the mistake I did and keep any of the pockets full of various screws as they will wear through it overtime and rip out the bottom of the pocket. When I ordered this tool box, it shipped to me without the removable partition or shoulder strap. I contacted the company and within 24 hours the missing parts were on their way to me (granted it will take a few extra days for them to arrive). I am slightly irritated I had to do anything since I wanted to use the tool box right away, but I definitely appreciate CLC quickly fixing the error and it was much better and quicker than having to ship it back to Amazon and wait for a new one. Now for the tool box itself. I am an advanced DIY guy, and do a little light machining as part of my job, so I was looking for a tool box that could easily carry a 115-drill bit set, a few Plano 3500 series compartment boxes (which, by the way, fit great in the two larger end pockets), callipers, dial indicators, and a random assortment of other tools and stock. This tool bag is light, which means it remains manageable even when loaded down with stuff, unlike the all steel boxes I was also looking at. The pockets are for the most part useable for typical tools, although I wish the two smaller end pockets were the same as the larger end (small pockets are on the tape measure clip end). The material seems to be well stitched together, the handle is comfortable (although I'll have to see how the foam holds up in the long run...), the frame feels sturdy without any noticeable flex, and overall it seems well made. Some things in particular: - The pen pockets are mounted high up; pro: you can always get to your pen/scribe, con: a sharpie sticks up above the end wall. - As pointed out in other reviews, the bottom is cloth, so if you carry heavy, odd shaped things, fitting a piece of 1/4 ply to the bottom is helpful if you use the movable divider. - It does not have velcro straps on the two ends (like the similar Home Depot box) for strapping a long level or blueprints or welding rods to - I may try to retrofit this myself. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I personally would not hesitate buying another CLC product or recommending this tool box to a friend based on my experience so far. ... show more

This toolbox is super handy, especially for indoor projects where a handcart is completely impractical. Only thing I'll ding it on is the pockets. I wish they opened up a lot wider. I have had the same toolbox for ~30 years. I knew exactly how to lay out the tools to get the trays back in and get the lid to close, which honestly was a pain but was just how it worked from the beginning. After the latches failed, I started searching for a new toolbox and spent time in retailers trying everything that I could get my hands on. I finally settled on this product and I am very pleased. MOSTLY because there is a pouch for everything with plenty of room for more stuff, and I only have one layer of miscellaneous tools laying in the bottom of the bag. This leaves room for those few tools or batteries that you normally don't carry every day, but will need for the current job. There are rubber feet on the underside which really makes sense, and the handle is great. I have not tried the shoulder strap, but I'm sure it will come in handy. My only caution is this; you will load this with too much stuff!! I moved everything from my old toolbox and then decided that I could carry EVERYTHING that I might ever need. The product didn't seem to struggle, but my arms and shoulders sure did. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs to have lots of tools for varying needs at your fingertips. ... show more
