  • Almost great. Objectively the best though.
No other bag puts this many tools comfortably on your back. That said it could REALLLLLLY benefit from a hip belt like on a camping pack. If you're not careful, that weight can topple you like a drunk lumberjack. So here's a few tips for enjoying your high capacity tool bag Place your heaviest, densest tools close to your back to maintain close to center of gravity and motion. Try to strategically place tools to nest them together inside when it's closed. Lumpy spots dont feel good on your back. Spray black flex seal all over the whole bottom and an inch or two up the sides, including zippers. Do three coats. This gives the bag a durable bottom for placing on rough surfaces. My first bag died from bottom trauma. I've had my second one longer and it's still tip-top. As for the bit about the zippers. They bend and mess up if you let the zipper go all the way down and the bag flop open. Binding with flex seal near the bottom prevents the zipper from opening that far and I've not had a problem. with bendy zip strips. Also on zippers. Get some silicon grease, like dielectric grease or super lube and smear that all into the zippers then work the zippers gently to get it all in there all nice. Now the stitching on the zippers lasts twice as long or thereabouts. reapply as necessary. You probably dont need flaps over most of the compartments inside. I cut them off with medical shears. Saves an ounce or two as well. Consider sewing in a patch of denim or softer durable cloth on the in-side fof the shoulder straps. This was also a wear point. I used strips of denim from old jeans to reinforce and they hold up fine. Use my tips on your first bag unlike me. ... show more

  • Piano tuner-Great storage for many small tools.
This has so much capacity I was afraid it would be too heavy. But I love the fact that I can have all my most used tools during a service call and if I have to carry it a distance, the back pack straps are very comfortable.

  • Perfect for those looking to carry a lot of tools, and still be organized. Rugged, dependable, comfortable.
If you need to carry a lot of different tools, this is the pack for you. I'm a facilities and operations manager for a housing complex with 1000 residents. 23 buildings, 322 units, 994 bed and baths. Our buildings are 4 floors, so I was looking for something to eliminate the need for back and forth trips. I may have taken it to the extreme, but I had it packed full. It weighed almost 100 lbs, but I was able to hold a 20 volt Dewalt drill, spare battery, charger, the small organizer it comes with, full screwdriver set, electrical tools, meters, hand tools, 2 1/4 inch socket sets, hammer, pry bars, file set, and the list goes on. The only thing I couldn't fit were my gauges, but they would have fit if I didn't it full of everything else. The straps are comfortable, and eliminate fatigue if you have a lot of travel between work areas. The exterior is quite durable, and though it is not rated as being water proof, my pack saw a lot of rain and snow, and I never had an issue with water intrusion on the inside. Improvements I would like to see would be a molded bottom, as I had a lot of weight it was not very stable, and every time I would open a pocket, the whole thing would fall over, but that is a very minor inconvenience. Also, even if just plastic, a little reinforcement under the back padding would be nice, if the tools in the back compartment shift they will poke you. Again, just a minor inconvenience to organize better. In the end, travel was my bags demise. I had to drop the weight to fly, the first 3 trips it was mint and so were my tools. Then the airline lost my bag, flew it around the country, and had to Fed-Ex it back to me. Upon arrival the organizer was smashed to pieces, the exterior was torn to pieces, tools were missing, the straps were broke. It looked like it went through a wood chipper. The bag is extremely durable, but not invincible. I am on here to buy another, and thought I would write this. If you have a lot to carry, highly recommend. The elastic pouch on the inside will hold a laptop, I carried mine for months, just get a hard cover for it. The picture will show everything I took out of the bag when I had to reduce weight to fly, minus the hammer drill. I had the bag for a year before it met its demise, without a stitch coming undone. I put this bag through the ringer, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. TIP: when you receive it brand new, it will be very rigid. I recommend over-packing it and zipping it shut, and leaving it sit for a day or two so the fabric loosens a little. ... show more

  • So far so good
Have packed this bag out and so far it's worked well. The only thing I'm not liking is the pouches with flaps over them. How annoying. They just get in the way. May have to cut them off in the future.
