  • Two Years of Floating & Fishing Rivers...
Style: Boat
I'm familiar with this brand and have purchased different models but couldn't wait to get this inflatble pontoon boat on the water. I did wait however to put this boat to the test for two seasons floating & fly fishing Montana rivers before writing a review. I really like the detachable bags holding my gear. Easy to attach for river floating and detach for travel. After two years and hundreds of hours floating rivers this boat has passed the test. The pontoon frames, seat frame, rear platform/cargo and foot pegs have stood the test and no issues with the frame clevis pins. The oars are in great condition and no stress fractures on the oar locks. Soft parts like the bladders, pontoons and valves in excellent condition....working properly even though I've had to portage once and these rivers have presented lots of strainers, gravel banks and hydraulics to name a few. I really like the under seat apron which has saved me from losing gear and allows a sportsman to quickly take measurements of fish as seen in the photo of a Westslope Cutthroat Trout while floating and fly fishing a river. You can travel with this boat assembled which I've carried in the back of a pickup, on top of an SUV and on a trailer or disassembled inside a vehicle or large compartment in a RV. This is a fishing machine and a stable watercraft with plenty of storage and a cargo capacity of 400lbs. For those who want to fish, camp and float. ... show more

  • Great single person pontoon boat.
Style: Boat
I needed something that was easy to travel with and set up. This was the solution. Love this boat, have had it out several times in the last month with and without a trolling motor. Purchased a seat riser and a more comfortable seat for it. Included seat is cheaply made and uncomfortable. Very hard to get up when your sitting level with the frame and your 6’2” so for me the raised seat was a must have. However, that does tend to make rowing a bit awkward but the oars are just a backup to my trolling motor for me. This is a great fishing platform for lake fishing. Happy with this except I’m not sure there is much added value for the XTS model. You literally just get a 180 degree swivel seat. I could have bought that for under $50 I’m sure. ... show more

  • Highest quality with extras
Style: Boat
Box arrived in good shape and packaged well. I used to own an 8 foot pontoon and missed it even though I have a couple of kayaks. The XTS is their high end model and comes with swivel seat, rod holder, anchor system and huge detachable storage. The big extra is the transport wheel that can be stored when not in use. I took my time putting it together so about 90 minutes but I think it can certainly be done in less than an hour with 2 people. I have not had it in the water yet but didn't want to take it out on holiday weekend. There were no fit and finish issues and everything went together as instructed. I did a lot of research before buying this from Amazon and this is by far the best boat for the money. The only thing it didn't come with was a pump and the one I bought needed a bit of adapting to fit. I have a dual actin pump stored in one of the side pockets and there's still plenty of room for all my gear. I hadn't thought about it but I could actually take this on an overnight trip because there's plenty of room for a cooler or electric motor and battery. I think the box said 110 lbs and if you attach the wheel, that makes it a little heavy to lift in and out of pickup bed and it's a balancing act steering it around (I practiced in my driveway and guessing it would be difficult over uneven terrain, but doable). The oars are high quality and the only other thing I might get is a higher quality rod holder although I haven't tested it out. I am looking forward to testing it out this week and will update with any issues but I don't anticipate anything but fun! ... show more

  • Stable, Maneuverable, Easy Assembly, Great Boat for the Price.
Style: Boat
This boat is very stable, easy to maneuver plus it works great with an electric motor. Great fishing boat for lakes. Well constructed and very well thought out. There's more than enough storage and room for whatever you want to bring with out. Easy to inflate with an electric pump. I use a small electric air pump and top it off with a hand operated K-pump. The boat stores in a couple big boxes which are easy to transport along with the frame. It takes me about 30+ minutes to assemble at waterside but the the benefit this little boat provides is worth the effort. Far easier to fish out of than my canoe and I can run my electric all day on one charge. I use a Minnkota Endura with 35 lbs. of thrust. On the slowest speed it's about right for trolling. I'd recommend this boat to any fisherman for fly fishing or spin casting. ... show more

  • Nice Boat!
Style: Boat
Pro's - Love all the pockets. It holds all my gear and more. - Like the size and how much weight it can hold. Im a big guy at 280lbs but it carries me, my gear, motor and battery with no problem. -I put a 30 MinKota motor on it and it works great. One tip, turn the head on your motor around so it is pulling you though the water backward at the forward speeds. Using your fins to steer you can just lock your motor in one position and not half to worry about using it to steer. You then have your hands free to fish. Con's - Not sure I like the swivel seat. I am used to twisting my body to position my pontoon while fishing and the swivel seat made this a pain. By installing my motor per above I don't need to reach back to steer so I replaced the swivel seat with a high back fixed boat seat. Much more comfortable and able to easily adjust boat position by twisting my body. - Don't like that there is no middle position motor mount. Have no need for a left or right motor position. ... show more

  • It's a great fishing device
Style: Boat
Well I love this pontoon it is handy as heck it's really easy to maneuver with the paddles and a small trolling motor works on it too I did have a problem with one of the pontoons it was leaking from the very first day but I just got a phone call from them and they told me it's all set up and it'll be shipped out as soon as they get one that's pretty good service if you ask me ... show more
