I have a real hard time finding comfortable footwear. I was pressed for time to find a pair of black dress shoes without spending an arm and a leg. Everything affordable seems to be plastic and everything that I tried on locally was brutally uncomfortable. Then I stumbled upon these shoes. Labeled as leather uppers and they seem to be leather. They weren't slipper comfortable but they were ok and I just needed to get through a 3 or 4 hour event and thought I would make it through with these. They were far more expensive locally so I purchased through Amazon. Pleased to say that I really didn't notice them at all during the 4 hours or so that I wore them. I have no idea how they will hold up over time but they worked out well for the event that I needed them for. It was also an added bit of a blessing that I was able to try these on locally as I ended up buying 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear. At any rate, they are now sitting in their box, waiting for the next event in which I need black dress shoes. But, at least I now have a pair of black shoes that I can wear, pain free, for several hours. Unless they dry rot sitting in the box over time ... I've had it happen with several pairs of "sneakers". Basically, because these worked out perfectly for me for what I needed them for, they earn 5 stars. I have zero complaints. ... show more

Good shoe for the price. The padding was comfortable. Rubbed at my heel at first but I’m sure this will break in with some time. You get a little extra height with the heel and the padding. It has a stretch fabric near the tongue so if you’re concerned about the look of that heads up
