This shoe looked much better online. After I purchased it, I was excited because the Clarks brand has been my favorite for comfort and durability. When I tried it, I noticed immediately that the shoe box said “Clarks,” but the shoes did not. So I tried it on, and it felt light and floppy. As I walked around in the shoes, the rim of the top was hard, and it felt like they were digging into my ankles, which was uncomfortable. Another point of note is that the material used for its construction is deceivingly not leather, but instead, it is made of a synthetic material that may appear to be leather. ... show more

I had a pair of Clarks chukka boots of a slightly different style (they were shiny leather), but they were extremely light and comfortable so when it came time to replace them, I looked for the exact same boots. Unfortunately it seems like they don't make them anymore, so I took a chance on these since they're from the same brand. I was surprised when I got them at how much bigger they were for being the same size (12). Comparing them directly, these boots are about a full inch longer externally and about half an inch wider. They still fit fine but they do feel roomy. Some people might like that, and I would definitely call them quite comfortable even for long periods. The cushioning is really good and they required no break-in. But they just feel a little like clown shoes. I don't feel like they're too big inside but I am always aware of how big they look and feel on the outside. It's harder to maneuver around the pedals in my car, for example. They also scuff very easily; they are sort of a suede-ish material (I doubt it's real) and every time I go out, I seem to come back in with another scratch or two (often from the pedals in my car!). The upside of the material they're made from is that you can often just rub it a bit and the scratches just disappear. But not always, and I have quite a few permanent marks now after only a couple months of use. I don't think they're bad boots for the price, but I also don't think I'd buy them again. Good looking boots and seems comfortable. The color and style is exactly what you see in the pictures. I did not like it because the shoe creased when I put it on for trying. Maybe the crease shows on this color/style but it looks bad. I wear size 9 and sometimes 8.5. I got size 8 on this shoes but even that is a bit large on me. It is made in India. ... show more
