I have a few messy buns I bought here on Amazon that I throw on for virtual meetings (I work remote). I wanted to try something new that wasn't quite so uptight looking. This one is a much better match for my hair (very highlighted dark ash blonde) - a little more variation would be a better total match but it looks real. There are wire/cord things inside of it that you can bend to your own tastes. At first I didn't realize that and bent them all around to try different looks - I was afraid they would show. They DO NOT at all, no matter how I style it - so versatile! I bend it up higher and out further for normal wear but closer in for work. My daughter (25) knows I wear the messy buns but she saw this one and said "wow mom, your hair looks so cute!". Claw is VERY strong, in fact a little difficult for me to open. It won't fall off ever. I wore it to work (in person) and I needed to adjust the prongs a few times throughout the day, but I absolutely love it and the claw didn't budge. I would like a little more color variation but the messy bun styles I've tried with highlights were TOO different in color for my hair (like brown and blonde chunks together). My natural hair in the front looks a little brassy in my pics, but it was right after highlighting. Some purple shampoo got a near-perfect match (I always tone a few times after highlighting because I hate brassy). I pull my own hair back into a tiny, tight bun and just clip this on. I pull a little hair over the top and bobby on it there and one on each side because I'm paranoid the clasp will show. It doesn't though, but it looks better that way to me. I'm going to buy a spare because I love it so much. Perfect length for what my hair would look like if I spent an hour poofing up my own pony. Buy it! This is nothing like I thought it would be. My hair is pretty thin which is why I was hoping for something to give me a decent pony. This just ain’t it. Color was okay. It has wires in the hairs! This would be perfect for “Crazy Hair Day” at school! I’m not so sure about regular use, though. It weighs 3.8 ounces, so it’s not that heavy (I think it’s actually average for this kind of thing), but it feels kind of heavy on my head. * It doesn’t shed! Yay! * The color matches my hair! Yay! * It smells a little strange, but it’s not strong so I’m sure it’ll dissipate in a few days. Hmm. * It does not lay natural in any shape or form. Boo. Claw Clip Measurements: Bottom of Claw to Spring: 1” Open, Claw Tip to Tip: 1-6/8” Open, Claw Base to Base (middle): 2-1/4” Open, Claw Base to Base (outer edge): 2-1/4” Closed, Top Edge to Edge (just under spring): 1/4” Closed, Bottom Edge to Edge: 3/4” It’s just…awkward. It’s very messy where the “base” of the ponytail should be. I thought I could hide that by putting my ponytail on top of this (I just wanted a bit more thickness to my ponytail) but that just makes me look like I should audition for a part in Hairspray. I recently ordered this hair piece. I liked that it attaches via a claw clip. I ordered the black color and it matches my hair nicely. I don't find its as full as the pictures, but I could work on it and maybe it will fluff out a bit more. The hair and the clip are not heavy on my head. I put my hair in a ponytail and add the piece on top of it. It looks really cute! Its nice to have something like this when my own hair "isn't behaving". The hair feels synthetic but doesn't look it. I got this a few days ago and have already worn it out twice. I've used to to cover my color line as I grow out my hair to it's natural grey. This clip goes on in an instant and stays in place. It comes with hair ties and pins. The grip is so good on the clip that I didn't need the pins at all. I get a quick cute style that I love. The color may seem a bit too shiny but since it's all shades of grey, it flows well. There are adjustable metal strips in the hair to twist and turn to help get the exact shape I want. Most of the ponytail hair pieces I’ve purchased have been longer, but I’m really enjoying this shorter one. Here are some features I like and dislike about the hair piece: LIKE: 1) The way it’s constructed with wing-like extensions along outer edges - lots of styling options. 2) I also like that a clip is made into the top of the hairpiece to help hold the ponytail in place especially while you’re styling it. 3) The varying lengths of the “hair strands” allow you to form a messy-bun/ponytail combination. DISLIKE: 1) There is not enough color variation for realism, especially with my graying-blonde hair. The hairpiece is pretty much all pale yellow-platinum (think Stefani). I noticed that the hairpiece is also available in Salt-Pepper but it looks like it may be more appropriate for people with graying-brunette hair. 2) The ponytail is a bit heavy. This hairpiece clip is so cute! Much of the hair is woven into a wire for easy styling. There are only 4 wires, so it’s not at all fussy. I wish it had come with a hairnet or at least a bag for storage. It really looks cute on though and is very pretty. Minimal shedding, if any, this piece is very well made. I love it! LOVE the bendable pieces - lets me do a streamlined pony tail or a messy bun look. Lots of hair, so the claw clip doesn't show. And I can easily trim it if I want it shorter. The clip is strong. I admit it. I have purchased several hair extensions in the straight, not curly style. Unfortunately, most of them have been rather skimpy on the hair. With the large claw clip that's in them, they just don't do it for me. I was very pleased to get this current hairpiece because the hair is plentiful and with some pieces being bendable metal, I can add to the volume by moving the metal pieces. To my surprise, I actually really like this!! The color match isn’t 100% right but it’s close enough that I think I can get away with it.
