  • Excellent to play with your Kids. Is like our traditional "Lego" block UPDATED
The media could not be loaded. It really ups the challenge and increases creativity and problem solving, developing ingenuity and adding a new level of "difficulty and fun" to our beloved classic blocks. They are compatible with other block kits which increases functionality and expands your sets. Good quality time to share with your little ones at home. The technical support is excellent, fast and very generous. I really congratulate this company for their work and continuous development, the software is simple and intuitive. ... show more

  • Good rainy day activity
My nephew likes stuff like this. We kept this around until he was bored one day and put it together. It wasn't too bad and in the end we had fun kidding around with it.

  • A fun and interesting project!
A fun and interesting project, though at times the software was a bit glitchy so the students had a hard time connecting, staying connected and driving. Still had tons of fun and still generally worth it.

  • Double the fun
No more fighting for the sibling. They love it cause both of them into battle bot. They are so excited to have these as their Christmas gift. They practically jump up and ready to fight. It is easy to build and great to introduce robotic to my kiddos. They even come with digital manual just in case your is broken. It mention it can use BRIKE Lego coding too. Great toy for my kids if you ask me. ... show more

  • Good quality parts, fun to use, good instructions
I have Circuit Cubes “Robots Rumble” and “Gears Go Garage” kits. Both are great. So far, we’ve just made things described in the well-written instruction books. The parts themselves are high quality. They seem sturdy and fit together (and with classic Lego bricks) well. The Bluetooth connection and software work, although the software could use refinement. It would be especially nice if I didn’t have to pair the BT module with my phone every single time I turn it on. The two kits cost the same but have different capabilities. Gears Go has only 3 motors but one of them is geared for high torque. Robots Rumble has 6 regular motors. Both have two battery cubes, but in Robots Rumble, both have Bluetooth, while in Gears Go only one has Bluetooth. However, I thought that Gears Go had a more versatile set of gears etc.; it also includes an RGB LED cube. If I had to choose only one, I’m not sure which it would be. I wish Circuit Cubes sold some sets of just gears and the like to add to these. Without that, it can be hard to implement original designs. This is listed as for ages 8 and up (as is the Gears Go set). I built some of the models with a 6 year old helping (he liked picking out all the pieces needed during assembly). I think it would be a bit challenging for and 8 year old to design new things, but making things described in the booklet should be doable. ... show more

  • Excellent for experienced builders
I think most kids under 9 will struggle building these robots and likely require adult assistance. After my 8 year old gave up, it took a couple rebuilds of certain aspects to correctly orient and align the small gears. For kids with more patience, good attention detail and experience with LEGOs, this kit provides a fantastic lesson in mechanical engineering. The kit includes instructions to build 5 different robots and enough pieces are included to build any two at once so they can battle in addition, the blocks work perfectly with LEGO bricks so there is really no limit to what you can build with this set. All the gears, motors and pieces are high quality plastic and work smoothly when properly assembled. Once assembled and the batteries charged, it was easy to connect to the robot and control it with app. There are few quirks, e.g. if you have the cable polarity reversed to the motor, I could not find away to reverse the controls in the app; the only solution was to reverse the cable. I had a great time having battle with my daughter once each a had robot assembled. ... show more

  • Ran into minor kinks, but overall a fun experience
My daughter and I had a blast putting these robots together. She's 5, so I had to do most of the motor construction for her, but she was able to use the lego parts to build the robot structure. The labels showing how to connect the motors were not correct. You may need to figure it out via trial and error. We used the phone apps to control the robots. The Android app crashed often. The iOS app worked well. Otherwise we had a great time building then having a mini robot war like the show "Battlebots" on YouTube. ... show more
